To Neko, I'm eternally grateful to your advice on resting the eye for 20 minutes while maintaining consciousness to have a better experience in pulling an all-nighter. Confession time, my stalking tendencies started here. I think I never stalked anyone anywhere else..? Was about to start another long rant how I want to witness the site thrive, but I'm sure you guys knew already so meh xP

Can we all take a moment to appreciate CWSeed. They have like the weirdest collection of shows on their site. They rotate out too every once in a while so you'll be continually surprised as to what junk they'll pick up. I looked the other day to discover that they now have Limitless, which was previously on Netflix, and The Fades, which is a British show. So weird. And they rarely advertise for the site except for on the parent page, CWTV. Like Peacock has been blasting me all over YouTube and even on irl tv about its collection of free shows, but I never see anything for CWSeed.

Also: I watched the trailer for Helstrom which looks great. Like a good mix of Constantine and the October Faction. Both shows that got cut too soon. But considering that Helstom is a Marvel comic and it's going on Hulu I imagine we'll get a few seasons out of it.
I also watched the trailer for Books of Blood which looks pretty good. I can't watch horror. I already had a nightmare just from watching this trailer so smh, but I might get one of my sis's friends who likes horror to watch it and she can give me the deets. I just really enjoy Clive Barker. I wish he'd continue Abarat.

Really wish Genshin impact had a camera made by a sane human being. Why do I have to use an AHK script to multiply my mouse's vertical speed by five to be able to look up and down at the same speed I can look left and right? Why is there no option to make vertical camera motion go at the same speed as horizontal? Why does the camera automatically rotate while I'm moving perpendicular to the direction it's looking? Why does the camera automatically rotate when I'm in a battle to look off in a random direction instead of where THE PLAYER pointed it? Why does the option to disable this not even work?

The person who designed the camera deserves to be fired and fined a large sum. They couldn't have accidentally put those things in. They took actual lines of code to make. They intentionally made the camera as frustrating as possible without making the game unplayable. This doesn't even begin to describe how bad it is.

I heard back from Roblox and I'm actually getting to the interview stage!! I've unfortunately never gotten this far with my previous job applications, so this is whole new territory for me and I'm really nervous about it. My brother gave me really good advice, such as having questions about the company and job details and such ready before the interview.
I've also gotta do a HackerRank test, so I've been going through and doing some of the programming practices to prepare. I wanna do my absolute best on it so they know what I'm capable of despite having no prior job experience. I've already put a lot of emphasis on the team projects I've worked on throughout university on my application, so this is a good chance to prove what I already know.

Spent almost an hour tinkering with my bootleg lego sets I bought 7 years ago, the fun is still there after all these years, nostalgia ayy but holy shit look at how much time that actually took. I should've just grabbed my hotwheels for the photography object and called it a day, can't help it when they asked for a toy theme but help myself enjoy the process.

I should write something about that lego-like toy sometimes, the wasted potential of what this product could offer just made me sad. I mean, I used to see it everywhere during my childhood. They must be pouring lots of cash on that product series to get it that big, its just sad to realize that it was all for naught and they failed to stay on the market in the end.

And I shit you not, people are hunting these toys like lightning whenever someone online announced they're selling it. These are antique stuff man, their production had stopped ages ago. And realizing that my collections aren't complete and probably wouldn't ever recover them from anywhere in my storage anymore, automatically puts me in the same position as those mad hunters. People didn't just hunt them for the toys, but also trying to relive the old times.

Also, online resources are REALLY scarce. I found out that these toys dated back to the earliest on 2010, internet still wasn't such a big thing at the time. Shame everyone who lived at the time and knew both the existence of the toy and blogger, you could've been an important part of journalistic.

Procrastinating saved me today. I was going to end up shoveling fertilizer all day today but my mom just remembered about an art assignment I had to get done. I’m tired from just an hour of shoveling man.

My stats teacher always sets us so much homework, and I don't understand half of the stuff. I just sit there for ages trying to figure it out, and don't get anything else done. Today it was especially bad because I left all of it to today and it's due tomorrow. I also got my PAT (Physics aptitude test) mock back two days ago and I did so fucking badly. I got 30 percent (50 is a good score) and the real thing is in three weeks (I really need to do well for uni). I also have a mechanics test tomorrow and I didn't have any time to revise. Sometimes I wish I could just skip a day or two and have nothing to worry about. The past two weeks have been damn stressful :/

Some of my friends, who are 24, are still finishing their bachelors (S1) in Uni. They're older than their cohorts but its not really a bad thing. In contrast, I know some who've finished uni and got jobs while regretting not mulling over their decisions to go into their chosen fields.

On a different note, I started watching Sonic Boom with my roommate and we are enjoying it far more than we expected to.

I recently noticed the pattern, I came here on this site to satisfy my social media point needs. My friends frequently updates their account on Instagram and Twitter, but the like counter usually outnumbered the amount of comments. While other sites has a like, comment, share, function, we have none of those. This pretty much ties back to Raccoon's view on the Dollars meaning which I highly relate to.

This site is your typical BBS, a very simple message board; believe it or not, this acts as a sort of filter (not just referring to the filtering effect of this site). Here, the behavior of users is akin to what I remember. There is no blocking, there are not hundreds of pictures, there is no popularity contest for comments, eprops, replies, reposts, etc. There are no friends, there are no groups, there is none of that useless fucking shit which acts as a poor alternative to social stimulations found IRL. Here, we are a community, forced to listen and respond to one another in order to participate in this site. It may be harder for some of the younger members here to see, but for me, I can see it clearly and it looks like the forgotten past. This is what the web used to be littered with, communities.

In that sense, it felt special I think. Everyone on the site shall listen to what anyone has to say, they either reply and somehow let OP knew someone paid their attention or keep lurking and in a way ignore them. It could be a harsh place, but could also be a very warm place. Reality hits hard of course, but it is unmistakably beautiful nonetheless.

I mean, I don't talk to anyone outside of RTT.

Also funny how people are doing their business as usual in Genshin in the middle of the night, with a stormy weather too. Since they bothered to implement time and weather changes, hope they'd implement changes in NPC's actions in the future.

>>96 (Neko) The issue with making NPCs stop doing business during weather and time is that those NPCs, the vendors, are essential to a part of gameplay convenience. While it would make it more realistic, it'd have the game be a much bigger pain in the ass when you need to get shit done in town. The tavern in Mondstat already has opening and closing times which works, but I honestly wouldn't want that extended to everything else as the tavern isn't used all that much by people.

I think it's fine as is, where non-essential NPCs have day-night cycles where you can see things play out.

Man, the quest you get when you finish collecting all the geoculuses (geoculi?) is fun. Granted, it doesn't give you the quest, you have to find it, but still. Fighting a Ruin Hunter that's even bigger than normal while it's getting buffed by destructible things guarded by probably the most annoying enemy in the game? Heck yeah, it was an overall fun fight.

I just found it incredibly stupid that there was this one scene where some guys were discussing a 'camp' they found in the prehistoric dino era while searching for this dude's wife and I was so confused until I realized that by camp they meant a hunk of metal, an emergency kit, a busted camera, and a fucking corpse that were lying about. I think set designers and script writers had some miscommunications.

Its the middle of the semester, time for the exam ay. Its just like normal assignments, but due in 2 weeks and no meetings would happen during one of the weeks. Maybe I can finally catch up to the overdues, but I'm pretty sure my final score is already reduced to near lump of ashes by now.

All the more reason to withdrew next year and reapply on public uni, I gotta start wondering what I wanna do with my life.

Ahh, I'm failing my Real-Time Systems class. I haven't really been completing my assignments, mostly due to lack of motivation and partly due to the fact my laptop has been having trouble running. I've only been getting about a third of each assignment done and turning it in as is just to get some grade instead of a zero. It's.... bad.
I'm doing well on the quizzes, averaging a 94% on them, which at least shows that I DO understand the concepts. But damn, those assignments are really dragging me down. I don't know why I'm struggling so much with them.
There's an exam soon, so hopefully I can do well enough on it to boost me to a D or C in the class. I need a C to pass, which is still very possible, but it'll take some work.

So much assignments, so little time. It wasn't 2 weeks, my internal clock system miscalculated. 14th October seems so far, but hell we're on 7th October already.

I sometimes think about a character from Kubera:OLG who works as a priest in a temple sitting on top of a mountain, reaching 9050m altitude above sea level. Because of this, the workers on their temple is always short-staffed due to the unusual work requirement and the very place its located in. The priest also couldn't leave the temple because there will be no one to replace him if the city suddenly got attacked. But despite the circumstances, he enjoys the place due to his unusual preference towards the landscape the temple had to offer.

Then I really thought, we the regulars on the site are really similar to the priest. Similar circumstances, an old website which would be a hassle to navigate on by the kids nowadays, yet we stick around due to our unusual preference towards the place.

BTW, Kubera had excellent storywriting and worldbuilding. The lore goes deep and everyone is a main character, definitely a recommend so try it. Just bear with the goofy art in the first season. I promise, it only gets better.

Had a cool idea for a system for a fulldive RPG, preferably an MMO. Have only 4 stats (Strength, Agility, Endurance, and Vitality,) but you apply those stats in an odd way. When you apply stats, you can apply them to arbitrarily specific locations. Strength can be applied to slow-twitch muscles, Agility to fast-twitch muscles, and Endurance and Agility can be applied anywhere.

Strength and Agility increase the power output of the affected muscles, Endurance increases the durability of the affected areas, and Vitality increases how fast affected locations regenerate.

The more specific you get with an application, the more powerful it becomes. Like, applying Strength to all slow-twitch muscles increases their maximum output by 5%, targeting just the legs increases just the legs by 30%, targeting just the thighs increases them by 50%, etc.. It'd be based off percent total body volume or something, up to insane increases for choosing a single muscle fiber in a single eyelid (don't know why you'd do that, but still.)

If the game has magic, have magic channels that run to different locations of the body and apply stats to those. Strength for maximum mana flow, Agility for speed of that flow, Endurance to stop channel-targeted magic attacks and your own mana from tearing your channels apart or increase your maximum mana pool, Vitality for channel regeneration or mana regeneration.

This would allow for people to choose what spells they care about, too, by, for examples, allowing for faster flight by targeting the channels to their feet, allowing for very accurate spell targeting by choosing the eye channels (at the cost of blinding themselves for a few fractions of a second every time they cast a spell that creates something physical, like fire,) less accurate (but non-blinding) casting through hands or fingers, or quick-casting self-centered AoE spells or shields by using the ones in the torso (as the mana pool would be located in the heart.)

You'd also have to give everyone some full-body Endurance and Vitality every so often to keep "maximum health" and "health regeneration" up, since squishies would be focussing all their endurance on not breaking themselves apart when they move. You could also make stats get more effective as levels increase, but I personally dislike that idea.

There could also be skill trees for stat specializations. Like, you'd have a Strength tree, an Agility tree, an Endurance tree, and a Vitality tree, and you can increase the effectiveness of stats to specific locations by some percent. So, the arm skill in the Strength tree would increase effectiveness of Strength on arms by, say, 20%. This would make full-body Strength increase arm output by 6% instead of 5%, arm-specific Strength from 40% to 48%, upper-arm-specific Strength to 72%, etc..

Stat skills would only get as specific as individual muscles, but wouldn't allow for a full-body increase. This would allow for both further specialization and for slight specialization while putting your stats in a more general location.

In addition to whatever class and general skill points you get, you'd get 1 stat skill point for each of the stat skill trees every so often so that you don't ever have to weigh the trade for learning flight over a 20% increase to casting speed of eye-targeted spells, or whatever. You can do both.

Also, allow respeccing anytime you're not in combat and not inside an instanced location. People are stupid. This would allow people to try out having nipple cannons for 20 minutes before the novelty wears off and they get bored of it and they go back to a normal build.

Also, only related in that it's still about the system, going too specific would simply rip your muscles apart. A single muscle fiber can't withstand the force it would be put under, and even with enough endurance on it and its connection points to bones, a +10k% to a single bicep fiber would still be worse than a +60% to an entire bicep because each bicep has ~250k fibers. I think this is also fine. There should be a sweet spot for specialization. I don't know what that number should specifically be, but I feel it naturally arising out of whatever math the devs use would be better than artificially modifying the math to aim for a specific sweet spot.

For locations that have low numbers of fibers, it could be useful; even the flexor muscles have over 15k fibers, however, so I don't know where this would offer a tangible, useful benefit over just buffing the whole muscle.

One potentially fun strategy would to make one hand super tough with like 60% of your total Endurance and then make that arm super strong and fast with like 40% Strength and Agility to make a single hand able to block anything that doesn't damage the whole body. Use the rest of your stats either as a general buff or as DPS.

Useful against anything that uses a weapon. Useless against pretty much all mages except projectile-based rock mages. The mage issue could probably be reduced enough to be manageable by learning a basic shield spell and increasing your shield casting power and speed.

Just woke up from the a very intense nightmare. I think this is the worst nightmare I've ever had. Like.... I'm actually scared to try to go back to sleep.

Man, I can't stop thinking about a power I had in a dream a few days ago called Take. It could take anything from <anything, then optionally apply the taken attribute to myself. I could take the distance between atomic nuclei to do nuclear fusion or take away a chunk of dirt to very quickly make a bunker or pit trap. I could also take super esoteric stuff, and would use sentences to help focus on some weird things, though they were purely to help me focus and not required.

For examples, "The space in front of me will lose the ability to not have water inside of it," and, "The space in front of me will lose the ability to let anything other than water pass through it." Those were used to make an infinite water source and a perfect water filter.

Sentences were detrimental in a couple situations because Take worked on image and, sometimes, sentences would leave me with too clear an image too early and Take would activate early. One example I remember was I was trying to make an underground bunker for one reason or another and the ladder down was supposed to be hardened, but my sentence caused a clear enough image and the ladder down was just dirt and crumbled immediately.

Another use I discovered was the ability to make nuclear bombs out of any atoms by using fusion and annihilation to create a bunch of uranium-235 and then forcing a detonation. It was useless to me because I could only Take things I touched, but it was possible.

Though, that's actually a lie. I didn't require touch and I'd figured that out in-dream and increased Take's range to 5 inches by slowly whittling away at my mental barriers about the fact I was supposed to actually have infinite range with it.

One use for it I figured out after waking up is flight. Get or make a powerful enough rotor then remove the effect of gravity from myself, use the rotor to maneuver myself while floating because of buoyancy, then remove the effect of gravity from a single quark of a single atom from the air around me and apply it to myself. Take didn't care about how much of a thing was taken, just that it was a property applicable to myself. I wouldn't weight as much as a single quark, I'd weight as much as I normally do once I stole the quark's gravity.

When I was 14 or something, I had this dream about the universe being full of different human-like species. Everyone had souls, and could harness this thing called soul energy that your soul made. It was impossible to send soul energy straight out of your body, but you could send it out in the form of fire, ice, lightning or wind. Almost all the people who used soul magic used it with weapons (you could infuse your soul with weapons) and fought these animal like (sometimes like giants, or minotaurs or weird animal dinosaur things) creatures which had no soul, and would feed on the souls of humans.

A longtime ago, there was this ruler of the soulless creatures who had sold her soul for more power, becoming the first intelligent soulless thing (she made more intelligent ones, but since she was originally human, she was the most intelligent). She was thought to be killed by the 12 slayers thousands of years before the main dream started (it turned out that she couldn't be killed, at least that's what they thought at the time, so she was sealed away. But she came back). The 12 slayers were hunters (people who fought the soulless things) who were the best in the universe. One of them had this thing called the power of the galaxies, which is the only thing that could defeat her (but not kill). The power of the galaxies was pure soul energy. It came in the form of light and dark, and could be obtained by either learning to directly transfer your soul out of your body, or training your element so hard that it eventually became pure (idk how that was meant to work lol). Unless you had both light and dark, you could not kill the ruler. Of course, me being the main character of the dream, I eventually got light and dark, but my dream lasted for really long time. There was a war as well (like intergalactic or smthn, the space bit was crazy as well, I had alot of planets in my head).

Best dream I've ever had. Probably the most complex as well lol. It's also the only one I have remembered in the long term.

I actually asked how the boards back then were proposed and what's the process until one got added. We didn't see much of those on archives because most of the discussions took place in the chatrooms, mainly from looking at what kind of cluttering threads appeared on the site. There might be lots of drawing thread appearing around, but the site had no art board. There goes a submission proposal material, high demand would mean high chance of being added.

A lot of people want to introduce themselves, although a lot of members on the community also didn't understand why people would want to do that. But it's a high demand, so they gave them a place to do just that.

Personal board is quite a special bit however. That thing caught quite some heating debate, both on the proposal thread and the chatroom.

The main concern is privacy, I mean some people were ignorant enough to put their personal information out in a public forum site like this. To quote on her words,

Once you opened up the gate to saying "Hey you can go lay your personal problems out in public here if you want", it risked people jeopardizing their own privacy, not to mention any hecklers wandering in and finding a gold mine of people who opened themselves up enough to share something personal and could now be attacked and grieved for fun.

But obviously the board got made in the end, the deal is that once it got made, it wasn't going to be unmade and people that do utilize the board would need to be very careful in sharing their information. So after all that, they could only put that famous disclaimer on top of the board and keep an aye on everyone not to be reckless with what they're gonna put out for the world to see.

My arm is now red and tingling. I would have scored higher (maybe even broken the site's record) if I hadn't been doing lower duration clicks for like 2 minutes before I decided to take on 100 seconds. Or if I had a proper controller to vibrate on. Might make an AHK script to map a gamecube's A button to left click specifically for that purpose.

Lmao I had a trippy dream last night as well. I think I was playing too much Danganronpa because I was on the island, and I was the only one that was 3D (cause y'know the game has 2D characters) then I sorta went into spectator view and watched myself (it was also really weird because I could tell it was me, but in like anime form? idk) turn 2D and then get less and less detailed until I became this blob of shapes. MAN, I vibrate my entire forearm when I tap fast, up to about 13 taps per second at my fastest. Imagine if I were to use that in a fulldive game that has contact damage. Just grapple something then vibrate my arm until it dies. Heck, imagine if there was any on-hit %HP damage. Even at 1% HP per hit, I'd kill anything in under 8 seconds, assuming DR doesn't apply to the on-hit damage. If it does, it simply increases the time it takes.

Though, that would require that the game doesn't have some sort of resource that's expended on-hit or on-movement (such as stamina [obvious] or mana [the on-hit costing mana on-hit, rather than on-cast.]) If it's on-movement, it might even not matter then, because each vibration is tiny.

I'm honestly kinda afraid to the idea of linking RTT on RTIYN, it is a major step and quite possibly WILL set something on this site into motion. Almost everything you knew about this place will crumble, the peacefulness Keith spoke of, the filter raccoon spoke of, the low surge of activity overall. It might just be paranoia I'm experiencing, but I can't help but think what if the surge of activity scaled up so much that you guys the hermits were overshadowed by it.

I'll leave it at that for now, I still have some stuff in mind but this is it for now. Changing RTIYN is no joke and I want us to think about thoroughly, we only have at most 200 posts left until a new one must be added.

Also, a more depressing take on that is life doesn't have a purpose, and no matter what you say, isn't really true. You can make a purpose for your actions and reason for being, but that's not really giving "life" a purpose.
Just make the most of what you have, do what you think you're supposed to do, and have fun while you're at it!

On the flip side though, maybe life does have a purpose. Who knows, maybe it's something that we're supposed to find ourselves in our lives, or it's something pre-ordained by God or a god somewhere. Maybe it's something we know deep down, and is what's driving us forwards in life.
Maybe it's that spark that keeps us running, that when we lose it, the whole engine called the human shuts down into despair.

Life is what you make of it. Yes sure you can be born poor or rich, but money only gets you so far. I had a friend which his father had quite a good fortune and was a pilot... but when he was still in school, he committed suicide.
So yeah, that doesn't make it all....
In terms of purpose, well.. you don't have to have one, I guess the purpose you can give yourself is to have fun, and have happy moments :)

In other news, I've been learning how to skateboard. It's been fun. I've gotten pretty good at balancing while coasting, but I'm still not good at keeping speed. Once I start slowing down and I try to kick off to gain more speed that's when I'll start to lose my balance a little. Trying to place my feet back in the right spots while in motion is tough.

I've also been thinking that I might want to watch the old Indiana Jones tv show. I was watching Crystal Skull on tv the other day and I had that thought. I remember seeing bits of the show that would air as reruns on tv when I was very little.

Copyright license is said to have only been added for legal purpose, just in case we got lawsuits or something. All the content of this website is user-submitted content either way, so its kinda doesn't make sense imo but we'll just roll with it I guess.

^^ Daylight Savings Explanation Time:
It was invented by Benjamin Franklin before electricity became an everyday convenience. The idea started because during the winter there is less sunlight ie during the summer it gets dark at 9pm, but during the winter it starts getting dark at around 7 or 8pm. So to maximize the output of productivity from workers they would have them set their clocks back one hour during the fall/winter. This way they would be getting up and starting work an hour earlier and leaving work an hour earlier so they wouldn't be working in the dark.
An easy way to remember daylight savings and which way the clocks are going is by using the phrases "Spring forward" (for when we move our clocks an hour ahead in the Spring) and "Fall back" (for when we move our clocks an hour back during the Fall).

The only 2 inconvenient things about daylight savings: 1 is that it'll throw your internal clock off, but after a couple days your brain usually catches on and it's fine. And 2 is having to manually change all the non-wifi/gps capable clocks to the right time (phones and computers do it automatically).

One more exam this week, which is tomorrow. Then I have another exam next Friday. Whew.
Blood work was also done today and I am nervously awaiting my results.

I wonder why am I pushing myself in these tight deadlines of the online midterm exam, I submitted almost all my assignments way past the deadlines, even missing out entirely on some few occasion. Yet I kept going, even I knew well this is a losing battle I'm fighting. Deep down I wonder, what am I trying to achieve from all this?

4 paintings, each on an 8x8 inch paper, due in 13 hours. 8x8 might not sound like much until you start drawing and realize how time consuming all the process will took.

21 page assignment, summarizing 7 chapters of art history. From Paleolithic, all the way to Renaissance. Will be due in 16 hours.

Moving on, I figured out the perfect solution to revive the Dollars, so to speak. Those newcomers all said we have reached 'dead' although we over here all knew it is merely being dormant. Can't wait to have my free time and get to type all the details and what I've figured out during my spacing out session.

Finally off school for two weeks. I want to relax but I can't, I have my Harvard interview a few days after the holiday and also my PAT (I completely failed the mock test, I got 30 percent and need 50 for a good score). Applying dual track is so fucking stressful. On top of that, I also did awful on my SAT and ACT so I'm screwed.

It's a fascinating dive into something extremely morbid. Where the experience of dying over and over is enough to cause someone to really want to die and end the pain and suffering. This is raw.

My favourite part is around 1:34, where the heartbeat sinks up with the animations in spurting out unimaginable amounts of blood. Wounds from nowhere appear, blood comes gushing out. A process that's as natural as the human heartbeat, seemingly melting the body into a pile of blood.

So I got into an argument with my sister about this wreathe. Yesterday when I first put it up I asked her what she thought about it and she said it looked like a donut from afar which made me a little upset. But then today I woke up to see that she'd replaced it with the old Halloween wreathe that she'd made last year and I got more upset. So I asked her why and she argued with me saying that she wanted her wreathe up because it was hers and she had made it herself and questioned me why I should have my wreathe up and I gave the same reply. This greatly confused her and I had to explain that I had made my wreathe myself as well. She admitted that she had thought that I bought it from the store (and that I should take that as a compliment towards the quality of my wreathe). She then conceded that we should have my wreathe hanging up, but rather than having it on the door put it out on the front porch with lots of spiderwebs so it'd be more visible.
It's too bad though that we probs won't get any trick-n-treaters this year though.

When I took my quiz on Friday, it felt.... way too easy, so I had either gotten it all completely wrong or I absolutely aced it. I am relieved to see the grade now and I got a 100% on it. B) It's only economics though, which is an easy class overall.

Also, I'm too lazy to check the thread, but I remember someone asking to see the logo, so here's my favorite of the designs I did. I plan on changing the colors, I just wanted to get the basic shapes and contrast down. Plus, I wanna check and see what specific shades of blue she wanted me to use.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone has heard of of this yt channel, but I've been watching a lot of Unus Annus lately. The host are Mark (Markiplier) and Ethan (CrankGameplays) and they're quite funny. Their goal is to post a video every single day for one year and then delete the channel. It's an interesting concept of a channel. They kinda remind me of TryGuys, but they're not worried about demonetization, being age-restricted, and so on because the channel is going to be deleted. In the past week I've watched around 6 months of content. Novemeber 14 marks their 1 year when they'll delete the channel so I've been trying to play catch up.

I think my main source of anxiety comes from the money aspect of things. It's much more expensive living by yourself versus if you had a significant other or even just a friend to room with.

Hmmm... I'm debating whether or not to get a math minor. It probably would be absolutely useless, yes, but I still kinda want it because 1) I love math so much and 2) I do kinda wanna teach high school math after working in software for maybe a decade or two.

One of my sisters loves online cause she says it wastes less of her time and she doesn't have to deal with "annoying humans" as much. She's very independent and introverted, so it works for her. I thought it was a weird choice for her to stay online for her senior year of high school, but then I realized just how much it drains her to be around people.
My other sister is like me and does way better with in person classes. I think we're both extrovert-leaning ambiverts so in person schooling gives us just the right amount of social interaction we need. I'm also a very hands on and visual learner, especially since I have trouble processing audio, so Zoom classes that are mainly audio based? Awful.

What they didn't know is that the prophecy is a self-fulfilling one, the creator didn't tell them that that someone will destroy the universe because he was killed by the gods and someone who had a crush on him got so mad that she resurrected him with a forbidden technique. He got resurrected, but its just an empty shell without his once kind soul. So amok he went, destroying the universe he went.

In another occasion, the creator said that killing him was necessary to extend the universe's age. Wouldn't that literally meant that a universe needs to have tragedies happened from time to time so it can keep on existing?

Oh and did I tell you that someone is the single strongest individual in the entire universe and he can destroy all of it if he wills it? The gods managed to kill him because he's too trusting and got betrayed in the end. The story haven't actually reached the part where he got resurrected, but just think about it if his soul is also back. How would one feel after being resurrected and realizing your trusting tendencies are exploited to lead you to your death. With all those powers, he probably would've raged just as much as the alternatives where he mindlessly ran amok.

I'm willing to bet that the "blatant advertisement for groups" got generalized overtime because Moon Warriors had to raise their standards so they can have a reason to yell at people. But its not out of the world either to assume that BBS had their fair share of kickstarter campaigns cluttering the Main board, although that's pretty unlikely.

It all basically comes down to common sense so to speak, just think of how would you advertise something to the public or your circle of friends or even your closed ones. Pretty sure you didn't just shove them your stuff and exclaim "BUY THIS!/FUND MY PROJECT!/CHECK THIS THING OUT!" or so.

When it comes to advertising... I just don't appreciate it when people make a whole thread for it. If they posted things in the RTT I think it's fine, but otherwise it is just spam. Or if they do make a thread make it board appropriate ie like advertising one's deviantart on the Art board because most people create their own threads there for sharing their art anyway or wanting to share a game on the Game board etc. Like just common sense things. But when people come onto Random and just wanna shove their websites or social medias in everyone's face and redirect users to a different place that is just spam. What type of discussions can be spawned by creating those types of threads? None.
And really that is the only criteria for Random is it not? Threads that can generate discussions.

I'll contact them on Friday cause they said to wait 2 weeks before contacting. It's been 12 days, when usually I get results 3-5 days afterwards. My economics professor was going over the exam from Friday and he gave little shoutouts to people who did very well on it and when he got to me he was all like, "Keith is one of the most organized problem solvers I've ever seen. So I am technically officially hired at Target. I still have to pass the background check and drug screening stuff, but other than that I'm all good. My starting pay is looking real nice. It's $5 more than what I'm making at my current job. It'll be so nice to not have to stress about bills for a while and to be able to save up my money.

Also I've been doing a re-watch of the Listener. It's a Canadian show about this paramedic that can read minds, but is ironically not a med drama, but rather a police procedural. I'm on s3 which is where I stopped watching my first time around years ago, s4 and s5 hadn't even aired yet back then.
Also also, update on Unus Annus: I'm about 100 episodes away from being caught up. I enjoyed the horse episode much more than I should have. :)

Simply doing log_2(number) is too large, as is doing log_2 of any arbitrary number, unless you have some very special way to determine where to make decision to log_2 from, because the input number can be arbitrarily large. You only care about 6 digits of decimal precision.

From my personal standpoint, that "inbred anime fandom" is what Dollars Discord would have been. No hard feelings though, to any Discord member out there who happens to read this. Its just that all of these makes too much sense, like how perfect the puzzle pieces fit through the empty spaces.

Which is how I arrived to the conclusion, a lot of them at the end of the day just moved entirely to Discord and never visited here anymore. In that case, the trash took itself out. Once again, no hard feelings to any of you Discord member who happens to be lurking around.

@ those blaming me upthread for abandoning the site in its time of need or whatever, I left because:

1) it slowed down enough to not need active moderating (or at least, Reltair seems to have decided that, since the script that deletes saged threads is disabled), and

2) I was embarrassed by how much of an asshole I was as a kid. I had a lot of mental health issues and personal problems I needed to get sorted out. There were things I needed to get educated on and discover about myself. etc.

I was using the BBS as a way of pushing myself, like, "If you can't even finish this dumb little thing for some anon site, what can you do!?" But it turns out punishing your brain doesn't make it work or teach it the skills it needs to do what you promised to do, who knew ¯\_(o-o)_/¯

I was immature in a lot of ways (as teenagers are). The more I realized this, the less I wanted to see evidence of it hanging around in every other thread. I'm pretty sure my mom found this site and it was part of our bad relationship for a while as well, hence the name changes...

Regarding the book, it stopped getting responses because nobody was bumping the thread. You have (had?) to bump threads on Random pretty much every day (or several times a day) if you want interaction. Once you stop being stubborn about it, it dies. That's just how sites with this format work. The form was anonymous, no email or login required, though you could include one to get a copy of your response.

Regarding old cliques, the original oldies (the first users & mods) moved to their own chatsite until that stopped working. I'm not sure where they went after that or if they ever got it fixed. I was a lot younger than them and it had started to get weird, so I stopped checking back.

The next generation moved to Facebook and Google Plus. I haven't checked the fb account I used in a long time, but I'm pretty sure they're still there. (G+ is obviously dead now.)

I have no idea about Discord, never got too involved in that since I didn't like the site's format. The Chatzy list was disabled b/c the rooms weren't maintained. I thought about rebooting the list on various other sites but it never happened.

For the book, you'd want to keep it near the top of the board as much as possible for responses (nobody checks the archives), especially now that the site has gotten so slow. The last submission was in 2018 unless our form notification plugin is broken. I don't think it is, since the last submission lines up with when it stopped getting bumped.

Yeah, our rage was justified on that front. The site was a MESS. There was a point at the height of the show where we were saging 50-80+ threads on each board each day. Each mod claimed a few boards b/c one person couldn't keep up with it on their own. I had to do mass purges of Missions on a regular basis because it would get flooded with spam.

(There's no actual rule about talking about moddom, I just didn't want to be pestered by the users who freaked out when their stuff got saged and tried to cancel us before cancel culture was a thing and stage coups to take everyone to their proboard forums or whatever.)

Thia and I weren't part of the same cliques iirc, we butted heads a bit.
