Have you tried Doki Doki Literature Club? So, you get your 100th VN or you probably did that already. Still, goodluck!

10 Name: Nanashi : 2018-03-07 02:48 ID:SSKb3Tdy [Del]

136th and counting. I'm making small progress on my VNs due to my work but I can say that finishing one or three VN a month is my quota

11 Name: Nanashi : 2019-04-09 10:52 ID:B+ui+3W8 [Del]

I finished my 167th VN recently.

12 Name: Nanashi : 2020-01-11 23:30 ID:XWaPwMkD [Del]

Nanashi, please link your vndb account. I want to witness lmao

I'd figure the only way anyone could get that far is by a sheer commitment and willpower to read. That, which I did not have. I didn't have enough time to spare also, so.. I'll stick to localization and short ones :P

I just finished my 200th VN yesterday as for my account in vndb here's the link "https://vndb.org/u101062"

I actually started way back in 2013 in reading VNs but I just registered in vndb around 2015 I think. The key to finishing a VN at least once a month is time management, I usually sleep at around 11pm at wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning to read VN since I have to leave for work at 6am.

I just remembered that there's a way to play VN on smartphones though I suggest you should look into the fuwanovel forums for more info. As for time it doesn't really need to reach a certain quota. You should enjoy the VN that you want to read and take your time. You should also know what genre you are into the most because that is one of the key in hooking up your interest in reading VN. I finished the question and answer arc of higurashi(the first half will make you ask why and how due to certain events but will eventually be answered in the later chapters) now I'm planning to tackle umineko though they are quite long because it approximately needs at least 30-50 hours of reading time. There are a few short VNs that I can recommend like Narcissu and Ame no marginal

Try Planetarian as well and Harmonia

>>16 cries in unable to sleep for less than 6 hours a day and still able to maintain balance in daily life.

Say, do you have tips for learning Japanese? I'm still trying to grasp the letters, some wouldn't stick in my mind for whatever reason. Then there's the whole words and sentences I haven't explored yet.

Actually there is but you really need at least a year or so. One of my colleagues became a linguist in just two years because of the app Duolingo provided with a couple of dictionary of course. I was kinda interested on trying the app but I haven't got the time to try since I'm currently swamped with work. Might as well give it a shot if you're bored though.

>>19 I was actually planning to learn Japanese myself after this pandemic

>>21 Oh, so you're actually reading the localized VNs only? Or did you use machine translation?

23 Name: Nanashi : 2020-09-01 19:43 ID:RKeBM6T7 [Del]

>>22 I mostly read the localized but when a VN piques my interest I sometimes read even a non translated VN with a dictionary in hand

24 Name: Nanashi : 2020-09-01 19:52 ID:RKeBM6T7 [Del]

>>22 I used to do that when I was still in college and job hunting but now I don't think I have that much time in reading an untranslated VN although I seldomly read machine translated VNs if the translation is somewhat bearable. Take for example the Ikusa Megami Zero.

Well now that my PC has already retired and with no money left to repair nor to afford a new one, I guess I won't be able to continue with my progress. And because of this pandemic I don't think I will be able to play anything at all for the rest of the year especially with the nature of my work. I guess this is it for me. Oh well its fun while it lasted. I'm really struggling to find a replacement as long as it can run what I'm playing now which are almost at a low spec tier. 😅

Ouch, F man. Hope you can get a replacement soon, its quite a ride tbh just waiting for your new update regarding the VN numbers lol.

27 Name: Nanashi : 2020-10-07 16:57 ID:bpmGFM1s [Del]

I finished my 204th at the beginning of this month. And yeah I do hope I can get a replacement soon.

28 Name: Nanashi : 2020-10-31 12:15 ID:Krn9a6ZI [Del]

Finally found a temp replacement and finished 2 VNs. That makes the 206th.

29 Name: Firion !ZeMESPtKtE : 2020-11-01 02:03 ID:HOGN7gHP [Del]

ooh

30 Name: Nanashi : 2020-11-30 05:20 ID:UZh5k5OT [Del]

207th done! Took me awhile to finish because it has RPG elements

31 Name: Nanashi : 2020-12-20 10:26 ID:JZpapG8t [Del]

Been awhile because of some circumstances, but hey I did finished my 210th VN. Now I just hope I can finish one more before the year ends

32 Name: Firion !ZeMESPtKtE : 2020-12-22 00:38 ID:lG1Hyjih [Del]

Going for 211 I see, 210 is good number imo but if you're eager to reach the heights then full throttle dude!

33 Name: Nanashi : 2020-12-22 10:25 ID:UIucjVLM [Del]

211th done! I'm actually just finishing the VNs that have piled up in my backlogs so I was able to finish it. The one that was always left are the ones that may took more than 50 hours to finish.

34 Name: Nanashi : 2020-12-27 06:16 ID:UIucjVLM [Del]

212th finished! Well I guess this is it for this year. I would like to focus on to something before the year ends
