2. the Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer- I really don't know why it doesn't have an anime, it has everything going for it to be extremely popular but it's not; deep characters, lovely, iconic art, the power to make me both laugh and cry, and more. Read. It. Now.
3. Elfen Lied- some things I had to muscle through as it was the first manga I read containing any explicit material, but worth all of the DEEP FEELINGS
4. The World God Only Knows- It used to be something I just read because it was adorable, but now I really feel for the characters and this thing has some killer cliff hangers
5. Hourou Musuko- I started reading this at a hard time in my life and it really helped me accept myself, I can relate to and feel for every character in this wonderful slice of key lime pie~

Blue Exorcist would have been number 1, if it weren't for Bakuman inspiring me to start writing. Bakuman's fantastic, Ohba and Obata's best work, much better than Death Note in my opinion. Also, Death Note's really good, just wasn't too keen on the manga, the anime was brilliant though.
