No matter what happens, the world is so fucked.

The world is in mortal peril. Sir Noi Crezant, the Lizard Knight, has been sent to gain the aid of the great warrior Amamiya Yuuhi in hopes of finding the Princess Samidare and protecting the planet from the incredible 'Biscuit Hammer' poised to crack the Earth in two. Unfortunately Yuuhi wants no part of it, and the Princess doesn't prove to be the shining 'hero of justice' role model that Noi had hoped for.

In short, A giant hammer in the sky threatens to destroy the planet. 12 beast knights are chose by an otherworldly being to save the planet from the clutches of the Magician and his golems.

This is one of the best manga I have read in a longggg ass time... I gotta say, it threw me for loops left and right, it comes off as predictable, but shit, I didn't see half of what happened coming... The title can easily be misconstrued as it sounds like somewhat of a gag manga, however while it may be hilarious at times, its one of the few anime that have gotten me to tear up at multiple occasions. Amazing work, check it out, its a 'must read' in my book.

I planned on reading only a few chapters, then 7 hours later I finished the 65th chapter...those chapters are abnormally long too, which makes it better IMO. I'm still on a tad of a high that I tend to get after finishing something awesome...

I have to say I died inside when I saw the real biscuit hammer though. Looked a bit less sophisticated from view in the sky.

The way Yuuhi powers up suddenly is a bit unamusing... The manga itself if epic though :D

I'll say it again, this is one of the best manga I've ever read, I swear, reading it felt like a strange fusion between the spirit of Gurren Lagaan, and the feeling i got from FLCL. Man, i reminisced about FLCL many many times while reading this... And it didn't fail to disappoint me at any given moment.

I vehemently recommend this to anyone who likes amazing things.

I read this a long time ago, and I seriously enjoyed this. Admittedly, I forgot all about this, but the moment I saw this it all came flooding back.

And I hold the opinion that the twin-tailed middle school girl is the most GAR character in the series, although the others are admittedly bordering on crazy-awesome. (inb4 people raging because I used GAR on a female character)

Finished re-reading the entire series today. Incidentally, I started reading today as well.

I really love how it subverts a lot of your expectations. I can't give specific examples, but Mizuki lampshades it when he demands for a fight against Amamiya, and gets told "No."

It takes everything you're so used to happening, leads it right up to the end, and then brutally denies it. It's like a running meta joke that I can't get enough of.

And of course, Samidare is brilliant... But I will forever miss Noi.

SO uhh...news I guess... Gainax wants to pick this up and give it an anime adaptation, HOWEVER, they refuse to get The Pillows in on it, thus ruining the title. Apparently Gainax is shoving all of its money into Panty and Stocking so everything else is getting pushed onto the backburner. No other production company will get in on it due to its unpopularity in Japan, since it didn't kick off and be badass immediately it lost the Jump crowd, which would have been the backbone for its adaptation. Stupid Japan, ruining one of the best Manga's chance at becoming an amazing anime.
