We will always live in a world where exists evil and good, it is impossible to have a perfect world without conflicts for its just human nature to want more, why do you think Communism never proved successful in Russia, because of people's tendency to want more. That goes all the way back to our past animal extincts to become top of the group for power. We all have the tendency to be evil if we were put in the right situation. Good couldn't exist without evil to show what was good and what was bad due to the big gap between the two.

Humans need major quick changes to react to conflicts and when that does occur due to the balance, things stay neutralize even when there are terrible times like the Great Depression, their are great times that make up for it. Like I mentioned in the past, we can't escape from its reality since we can't get nowhere to build a good future and all we can do is look at the good side and fight for what we love. Good aways has its way over evil and wins in the end, but than again define "good."

Sure we humans are evil for that animal instinct even though we may be more evolved than apes, that doesn't mean we are any better than them, we might just learn something from a ancestors than avoiding that past all together. Sure sometimes we can learn from our mistakes, but even than history repeats itself. We need to look mre positive, but keep in mind that we cannot avoid the truth.
