Hi!
I'll get right to the point.
Today I went on a first date with a guy whom I'd been chatting with since december. I like him, his funny, nice, we share a lot of the same interests and even though this was our first date, I feel really comfortable around him. I can be totally myself and natural.
I don't feel nervous around him.
And.. I don't feel attracted to him physically :/
Like, the chemistry is missing. He's okey looking, nothing to complain about at all, but he doesn't make my heartbeat or, you know, turn me on.
Will this come later?
I have close to non dating experience, so all I've got go on is what my friends have told me (+fiction from books and movies, but I am aware that it is FICTION)
If not for this one thing, he is great! We can talk and chat for hours and I really really like him...

id say to stick with him for a while and see how it goes.and the nonexistance of physical atraction can be a good thing in relationships because that means the realationship wont be about physical contact but rather having an actual relationship and focusing on whats important and provide a good baise for a healthy relationship

As long as your not using him for an ego boost, I suppose. Just don't take compliments you're not willing to return.

I've decided to go on a second date with him (on valentines day!) I just hope I start to feel something more, some attraction, start to fall in love.. I want this to work! His such a great guy.. If you dont love him the same way or pphysically why not be friends? You may grow to love but otherwise isent it ok to is being friends

Crappy phone but m'y idea is liking someone like familly yet not attracted to him.

i have a guy by my side who loves me and i love him back but im not physically attracted to him just like you ! but he is a greaaattt friend there is no one i wanna talk about my life but him,we met 4 years ago and i should tell you i've came to like him physically too recently but havn't told him yet, there are some peaple in this world that are special and precious dont let them go

Just a small update, since maybe there is someone els among you guys who was in the same shoe's I was, a little over a month since.
Thing have gone very very well for me, for us. We kissed 3 weeks after I'd posted here. It's so strange, thinking back, I really had no attraction what so ever towards him, but now.. I'm pretty much head over heels about him <3 xD
I'm not going to go into all the lovey-dovye stuff, but I want to tell you who might be wondering if you should give that guy (whom your still not so sure about) a chance. DO IT!
I never expected I'd fall for him. I never expected to feel like this. But I do. And so does he, so I might just be the luckiest girl in the world xD

I just remembered I posted here for over a year ago, and felt like looking trough what I wrote about my soon-to-be-husband,
Because guess what, WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!! We got engaged in October and are now expecting a baby girl this July <3
Life can be so amazingly crazy... I never expected this would be the outcome..
I thank all of you people who encouraged me, gave advice and supported me to take a chance on him. I love him with all my heart <3
Wish all of you and anyone reading this the greatest happiness in life.

Found myself feeling nostalgic~
it's been a few years since I last visited. I'm happy to see people here still encouraging and supporting each other.
I also want update that I'm happily married to my love of 3 years.
Our daughter is currently asleep next to me. She's the most greatest gift in my life. My husband being the second greatest.
Our life has not been a simple walk in the park, we've had many challenges, but we are still standing strong. I love him more than I would ever have thought is humanly possible.
How was I so lucky as to meet this amazing man? And imagine if I had put an end to this without giving our relationship a shot..
Not all love starts with sparks flying. Attraction isn't always immediate.
Feelings can grow. Or fade.
You'll never know unless you give it a try.
Don't string someone along if you truly know it'll never work out. Be open about your feelings, but also give your feelings a chance to grow.
