okay, so im starting my new manga, right? but I'm... only 14. even though my manager and trainer say i do high-quality professional work, should i wait until im older? some teachers told me it would be 'unhealthy and unreal' to begin as a full-time mangaka now, and my mom said im too distracted and it will interfere with my honors classes and junk, and she says ill ruin my future. should i follow my dream now, or wait a few years? is it right for me to just shove my dream aside? i mean, its not like i need all these trivial classes if i am gonna be a mangaka, but if i say that ill just get in a whole bunch of shit with everyone...

You should go look up Joey Blonde Wolf 2. and e-mail him/her. He's/She's a quere mexican manga artist who's getting a degree in an art major in college. Ask and maybe he/she can answer your question.

You should follow your dreams, but at the same time keep up with school. You should really have something as backup, as being a manga artist isn't the most stable job around. If you really want to you could drop some, if not all your honors classes for normal classes, and that might give you more time to work. Research this extensively before making any decisions, however. Salaries, job opportunities, hours expected to work, ect.

I think it's great to do that in your free time. It's productive, and fun. Maybe you can even get a few quick bucks off of it. But I wouldnt put it before school. If you dont finish school and that fails you, you will be stuck.

Try street corners? Lol jk. I understand money being tight and all. Or even no money at all since ya may have no job. Try little stuff like washing cars or mowing lawns
