Supernatura Beings Real? or Not Real? (10)

Last Saturday night around 3am or so, i'm still awake and staring at the roof in my bed trying to get sleepy, when suddenly there is some sound like 2 objects fell into my left pillow, the first sound is loud enough for me to hear while the second one is faintly clear. Then after that happen, i feel every inch of my body can't be moved. My ears is deaf, no sound from my mouth, barely breathed, and even my eyes couldn't look anywhere expect the roof. I really want to look on my left but the paralyze effect is not done yet. I really feel that there is something on my left and the presence alone is enough to make a normal human such as I paralyzed. When the paralyze effect is gone, the presence is gone to, and nothing is left for that presence evidence were even existed. I ran to my parents bedroom and ask if they feel anything wrong and they only gave me their strange look.

Do you think it's some kind of ghost? spirit? demon? or somekind of creature?

Because i swear the feeling that i felt that night is a real deal.

While I do believe in that kind of thing, what it seems you went through was sleep paralysis. It happens naturally, but if it starts to happen frequently, I suggest you go to the doctor.

Here's the wiki on it: [x]
Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which people, either when falling asleep or wakening, temporarily experience an inability to move. More formally, it is a transition state between wakefulness and rest characterized by complete muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It can occur at sleep onset or upon awakening, and it is often associated with terrifying visions (e.g. an intruder in the room), to which one is unable to react due to paralysis.

By the way, I get it as well sometimes, though it was more common when I was little and was the worst after a night of insomnia. I've never really questioned it and thus don't get freaked out by it; I usually go back to sleep when I realize I can't move lol

There was only time where I had it and legitimately thought I had a supernatural experience, and I wasn't totally paralyzed, so that's different.

I feel that based on the descriptions of ghosts or spirits that they are actually manifestations of past history. Like how a man who loved to play the piano seems to play it even after he dies. It's a point where time fluxs. Past events manifest because of the energy left behind. A ghost is a point where time has taken shape or presence. Something so important to people can hold onto the energy left there. It's a beautiful thought and I believe it strongly.

>>4 I'm pretty sure we have other threads to talk about spirituality/supernatural beliefs throughout Personal and Main. She was just asking if you thought her personal experience was supernatural. Just hunt around to find the right thread to continue that sort of discussion in.

I thoroughly believe in the supernatural, so yes, I believe this was such. However, if you couldn't move, breathe or hear, I think this spirit was trying to show you how he/she died. Or perhaps the spirit just wanted to let who know they were there. Either way, this was supernatural.

>>6 Believing in the supernatural isn't an excuse to blame common occurances on it.

Com'on. I'm as spiritual as the next medium, but that doesn't mean everything that happens is supernatural. This kind of thing is not unusual and is easily explained without any talk of spirits.

Just because you believe in ghosts doesn't mean you should assume a door slamming is the work of an evil spirit... when the windows are open in that room and a room across the hall. It's common for doors to slam from the combination the second there is a chance in the airflow between them. Just like that, the explanation of this experience is fairly well-known to not be supernatural.

I suppose there could be a spiritual combination in some instances, but that doesn't mean that the situation itself would be blatantly unnatural.

its called being scared dufus. you heard a noise at night, and immediately switched into survival mode "not to move". this is normal, you where not possessed by a ghost or a demon.

I used to experience moments like this, when I five. sheesh!

3 am is where spiritual entities are felt the strongest so it's a normal thing. I had experienced these when our house was being haunted by various spirits but not anymore now. It's just a way of communication for them. But if you hear 2 knocks on your door at any part of the house at 3am, don't open it. Ever. That is an evil entity. If it is a normal person, there will always be 3 knocks.

Well, it seems there is many theory. Although if i would say the second comment is the closest theory for my problem. Regardless of the theories, i still wish it's some kind of supernatural being and my ability to communicate with them is somehow awaken. Thanks for all of your reply anyway XD
