I want to try and start a manga and anime club at my school but I don't know if its a good idea or not. I live in Texas and I know some people that like one of those 2 at school. But sometimes I am not really good with people and I am not even sure if the school will let me do it. So can you guys tell me what u think of this idea
Normally when someone wants to start a club at school you need the following: the club has to be school-appropriate, you would need a certain number of members depending on the school, and a classroom along with a teacher to supervise the club (doesn't necessarily mean the teacher has to participate in club activities or is even the leader of it). I myself am bad at socializing but if you already know some people who enjoy anime and manga then try to discuss your idea with them. If they seem interested then see if they would be willing to help you out. And they could help with anything you might want to give them like making posters for the club, or finding a teacher who will allow your club to use the classroom, or even someone to help organize the whole thing just as long as you are also doing a job that will contribute to your idea. Personally I think a Manga and Anime Club sounds like a good idea (I wish I had that at my school >-<)and I'm sure if you go through with this and don't do anything reckless the club might even be successful.
Having an Anime Club at a school is always a great idea! You get to share the love of anime/manga with others in the club ^^

If you can't get one at school you could try your local library. My anime club i help run is at a Library. The library might have you have atleast 5-6 members but they could be from other schools, which helps with getting to know people.
It will be a hell of a lot easier than the club I wanted to start, or just wanted for that manner. I wanted a skating club, but the administration frowns upon skaters. Sounds like the main problem for you will be finding enough people to start one.
You should try to make it I remember we had one in my school, but I never went because I was to shy. There many other like so do it and im sure you'll find members.
