Out of curiosity, is there anyone else out there who writes/likes song covers? I mean voice, piano, guitar... songs, soundtracks, even arrangements of classical?

As for me, even though I was pretty much raised on classical, playing solo arrangements of soundtrack pieces and things like that always held some different sort of irresistible appeal... I've covered some pieces from Pirates of the Carribean, Kingdom Hearts, Doctor Who, stuff like that. And since I'm a pianist, Kyle Landry's basically my Youtube idol.

Anyone else interested in that sort of thing?

I like song covers, and when I get bored, I often listen to piano arrangements for various anime openings/endings and OSTs, soundtracks for movies, and even a few voice covers of songs (specifically Adventure Time).

I love Kingdom Hearts OSTs! I don't have a YouTube account, but I'd be willing to listen to your piano covers! :)

We do have this thread for people to post music they've written, but there are also quite a few covers in there as well.

So yeah, I guess a few of us are.

Not sure if I should post here or not, but I did an instrumental cover of What I've Done by Linkin Park. It was so easy, but so satisfying. One of my friends was supposed to perform vocals for it, but somehow I doubt he's gonna do that, and my voice doesn't do Chester Bennington. So instrumental it shall stay.

I've actually got a couple covers in the works right now but I'm really bad at actually finishing anything.

I love covers! Well, covers of mostly Vocaloid songs and anime songs, at least. Not sure if you guys have heard of Utaite, but we have a whole community on NND.

Concerning Piano Covers - has anyone heard of Animenz on Youtube? I'm trying to play some of his transcriptions, they're devilishly hard to play (for me that is). Funny thing is, his youtube avatar is/looks exactly like Shizuo (Durarara). I found out about the Durarara anime through that.
