I started something up before about an AIM/Texting group and now I've found a way to text to everyone and have everyone be able to text everyone else in the group... WITH ANONYMOUS PHONE NUMBERSSSS

Started up the group and already have a couple of members. It's working amazingly.
Your alias is what shows up when you text the group and your phone number is never revealed. I would be the only one to know the phone number in order to add you. The texts you send to the group get sent to all of the members who are part of the group.

Update... sadly this is US only. For now the program I'm using only supports US phone numbers.

The chatroom would be online only, not for phone. Probably an AIM chatroom as long as other people can access it who aren't on aim. I run pidgin and it let's me access the aim chartrooms that are created.

Just a thought...
How many people have AIM enabled on their phones? Because by using AIM, it would get rid of the limit on people. Even just as a back up for the groupme's so that more people could get in contact. I personally have it on my phone and there is no extra fee. Regular messaging rates apply, and I'm pretty sure that most phones have this function.
I'm in the group an id know that there is a 25 member limit. The AIM would also solve the global problem too.

As of now, the texting group is FULL with 25 members. Often though people drop but if enough people keep pouring in for this, which they seem to be, I will open up a SECOND texting group. :)
So far everyone is having fun.
WARNING : This group sends a LOT of messages. Unlimited texting would be preferred as well as a tolerance for a bunch of messages xD
You can also mute the group when you are busy so you won't receive messages when you don't want any.

Yes it's mobile. Anyone that has a phone that allows texting can do this. Only thing is that what we're using is currently US-only. They're trying to go global, so hopefully that'll start happening soon. I heard their first goal is to get it in Canada.

Yeah sometimes you get spammed a bit.
And for Akiza, the chat is pretty decent 99% of the time. Mostly people talking about their day or school and stuff and nothing bad or anything. Everyone in the main group is very friendly and enjoys the chat.

I can promise along with Umi! We have been in the group for a while and it is awesome! It also makes your phone a lot more important if you normally don't get a lot of messages...
BTW MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A LOT OF MESSAGES TO USE!!!! Sometimes you can get an absurd amount of messages, so if you don't already have at least like 3,000 messages to spare a month you might want to upgrade before you join... (I had to switch to unlimited....)
