I'm writing a horror short story, and need some examples of the most disturbing things a human can do.
Please be crative the more disgusting the better.

From the few horror storys I read I can say that there are a few things how about ripping body parts off and then peeling off the skin.? Or the other way around so the person feels the pain of both. If this isnt what you was asking for Im sorry this was my interpretation of your question.

I had a horrid dream once where someone's neck got snapped and their spine twisted and they got nailed into the wall with these gigantic iron nails. There's like blood everywhere.
The dream also involved a chainsaw and electric shocks through live wires on water.

A person mentally tortures another person and never lays a hand upon them. Makes them commit unspeakable acts and when the time comes, dismisses them like trash. They have them killed yet there hands remain clean of blood.

I was in a van and was driven to a shady part of town. The building was abandoned and I was forced out of the van by a old man wearing gloves and a face mask. I realised that I was nauseous and saw felt bandages wrapped all around my face, especially the nose and chin area. In the building I went, unwillingly of course, and I was brought into a room full of large hooks they used to hang pigs in factories. The light was flickering and the room was infested with pests. Right in the middle of the room stood a metallic table with 4 leather straps. I was manhandled onto the table and strapped in. The man pulled a hook from the ceiling, removed his mask to reveal a mouth stripped of its teeth, and smiled. "Im not giving you anaesthetic so you'll remember this pain." and he used the sharp edge of the hook to cut my skin at the stomach, arms and thighs. he used his bare hands to remove the fat that has developed in my body and discarded the mess onto the floor. The rats ran towards the mess and started to feast on it. The whole while, I was wide awake and screaming. I did not pass out.

A dream I had. I don't have dreams often, most of the time they're about me falling from high places or trains splitting into 2 and falling into the core or me smoking (5 times, but i don't smoke). so do what you want with this.

This is some good stuff, and with good I mean disgusting.

He feels every ounce of paim and never passed out. While Jason told the victim to count down from 1000 by 7s (YES I WENT THERE). He held on to those numbers to dear life for that was all he could do. I woke up, strapped tp a table. I could tell that there were others too. The first girl had her head cut in half. The next had her stomach ripped out. And the final one had all of her limbs cut off then her head. I heard all of thier screams, scared to even breath, thinking hoping that this was just some twisted night mare...but it wasn't. Then I opened my eyes...I saw a girl with a red dress.She had a pair of scissors stabbed my eyes until they were soup. And then stabbed me in the stomach area multiple times before I died...

If you need more disgusting things don't be scared to ask because there's plenty more where that came from!

I would have to say from my experience as a creepypasta writer is that the best horror is the reasonably drawn out horror.
Too much and the person could laugh instead of be scared.
Too little and it wouldn't be nearly immersive enough.

Describe the situation in excruciating detail, metaphors are your friend.

The most recent Creepypasta I wrote was on a whim for only one person. It was about an Artist that taxidermied the teacher in a college.
Now that I am thinking about it, a reaction to the actual acts by a third party makes it better also. At least, that works for Another The Other(It is an anime) and my Creepypasta.
Another the Other can give you some inspiration for reactions.
For example, it pulls off some ridiculous deaths like being impaled through the neck by an umbrella after running down the stairs.
They prevent the reaction of "Well, She Shouldn't Have Ran Down the Stairs!! Ha Ha Ha!" and "A Freaking Umbrella?" by making a character witness the death.
The death couldn't have lasted more than a minute, but it was honestly pretty horrifying.

If you are looking for torture techniques, try the "Lingering Death." Learned about it from Deadman Wonderland. You peel away pieces of a person's flesh off one by one until that person dies. You could also have a person tied to a chair and have their fingers individually broken, or stick some kind of blade under their finger/toe nails. Have their eyes ripped out and throw them in the middle of a busy highway or, better yet, convince them that they are fighting with the antagonist and have them kill somebody they love. Break their legs and throw them in deep water, or trap them in a pool and drop a tazer in.

Feral children. Kids who were neglected by their parents/guardians and essentially raised by animals. Usually dogs or wolves. They grow up thinking they are these animals and can communicate with them etc. kind of cool. extremely disturbing.

I guess a good idea for a horror story would be to have all horrible events be caused by the main protagonist, then letting them feel the crushing weight of their actions in the form of an unstoppable force or tragedy

Put a plastic bag over their head, then jam blades into their joints, remove the plastic bag before they lose breath and let them bleed out.

Drill holes into their spine and loop hooks through them, then hang them from the ceiling and repeatedly bash them down with something so that their spine is being ripped out of their back while they're still alive.

How about neurosurgery? I always freak out when they use drills to open up the skull and also when they attach catheter to take out spinal fluid.

Play a game of "Truth, or Death!" Have them with their limbs tied together on a fraying bungee cord, and push them over a huge building every time they refuse to answer your questions. Each time they fall and shoot back up, the rope frays more and more, until it finally snaps, and they plunge to their deaths. Would not pan out that way in real life, but in a fiction book, it could be a fitting torture.

you could have one character give another character "open chest heart sugery" while they are still awake...Possibly after a kidnapping?

This is a redoing of an earlier idea I posted here, so you clear away all of the skin above their spine with no anesthetic to kill the pain, then you drill holes into their spine and attach hooks through it, then connect that to a winch on the ceiling, and other barbed shafts stuck through their body connected to a winch on the floor. This leaves you with a machine that rips out their spine while their still alive, and which also tears out any organs caught by the barbed shafts stabbed through their chest.

People do really enjoy gore.

Lile hangman, but with a twist. A person tries to guess a letter/word/phrase, while a loved one is chained to a wall by their limbs. With each wrong answer, you crush one body part with a sledghammer (ie. Hand, Foot, Arm, Leg, Torso, etc.) You continue to crush body parts until the person can guess whatever it was that you chose them to guess (this can also be something as simple as their name, by the way). If they fail to guess correctly when you run out of other body parts, bash their oved one's skull in.

I have a lot of game-oriented methods of torture, if you would like to hear more...

There was this one scene in a very NSFW manga where there was a party and a guy committed seppuku while simultaneously slicing a woman in half (she was being punished for not attending the party). Then a couple of dudes opened her wide open, spilling her guts everywhere. What I find the most fun- I mean fucked up is that they then threw her body on a table and they electrified the cadaver, making it "dance". Everyone at the party was forced to watch or else they'd be next :D

i have heard a disgusting story so .. i'll share it. :)

There's a community of farmers. One of them is a woman with a four-month old baby. one sunny day, she went to the market and asked her husband to cook the food for the farmers.. as her husband was preparing the food, he noticed that he needs meat to add flavor to his dish, suddenly he heard the baby crying.

as the farmers were eating their lunch, one of them noticed a small finger, he thought it was chicken feet so he kept eating. then the woman came home with a smile.. she asked the if the food was good. they all nodded. she hugged her husband and asked.. "Where's our daughter? its rare that she's not crying right now?"

the man smiled sweetly and pointed a basket covered in small blanket. "our girl is there." when the woman opened the basket, she screamed, seeing that the only thing she saw was her daughter's head.

"WHAT DID YOU DO??" She screamed.

her husband pointed the farmers and said "I need meat to add flavor"

How about something like this.
a person lives with their partner and every morning they wake up to find a little mark on their neck, like a insect bite size mark. And everyday they feel more tired than the day before. One day they`re so tired that they decided to stay at home and their partner is out of the house. They decided to rummage around the house and find out a secret door on the room that leads to a basement full of medical instruments and a fridge full of blood bags and one of the bags is only half full and still a little stick from blood falling from the tip. The partner comes home earlier to find the other in the basement and decided that it`s time to end the slow method of getting his food.

Hope that`s creepy enough haha. I kind like this gore stuff.

I tried writing a story that was based in quite violent gore a little while ago, i can give you a few of the ideas i had rolling around

I was going to copy paste but it might be too much so I'll take the worst of them and compile them in a list here:
Breaking toes and fingers then removing the nails.
A spider placed on the face and crawling in the ear/nose before either of them are broken.
Bamboo being grown in a dark room underneath someone causes it to grow through them.
Leg muscle is torn off leaving the tendons open and the perpetrator pulls out a violin bow to play on them.

I'm trying to keep this short so that last one, which is the worst would be sexually stimulating the person being injured (works for a guy or woman but actually needs the stimulation for the guy) then a metal rod is placed inside the genitals, jumping cables are connected to the metal rod and a car battery - you can guess what happens. ^^

Well, i had a nightmare about babysitting my younger cousin who is just 1, and somehow she got lost because i wasn't paying attention so i went to look for her outside because she was nowhere in the house. I went looking with my grandmother and brother and the skies started turning grayish and there was a lot of dead trees appearing in the neighborhood out of no where. There was torsos, legs, arms, and detached heads of toy baby dolls everywhere, even hanging on the branches of the dead trees. So I told my brother and grandma i was going to head home because I was really freaked out. So when i woke up (still in my dream) my grandma and brother were both standing at the doorway of the living room just staring at m, i was sleeping on the couch. I got up and went to the kitchen to find a towel in the corner of the room bloodied with my 1-year old cousin laying on top of it, in half (like in mortal combat where in the fatality it shows all the lungs, stomach, etc.) with her foot detached sitting right next to her. >~<

And the freaky thing is i dreamt this on friday the 13th of this year, and just a few days later she got a bruise in her back from getting hurt.

I just thought i should leave this here to maybe give some ideas idk, there is nowhere to put a nightmare thread.

I also had this weird nightmare in second grade about a classmate being eaten by cannibals in the middle of my hallway, at night, by a campfire (which surprisingly did not burn the house down)His organs were in tiny sandwich see-through bags, and the cannibals offered some to me! Then when i went outside my house i saw his mother calling for him and handing out fliers.

Whats weird is that i didn't even know this kid, never talked to him, didn't and still don't know what his mom looked like (just made up a random woman).

I was so scared to even go to school the next day, i didn't know if he was there or not XD
I he wasn't there that would have made me freak out, but he was and i couldn't even look at him XD

I once read a story about scientists living & working on a research station on the ocean floor who lose power for some undefined reason, go rather mad, & are led by one among them into flaying & mutilating themselves & the staff, wearing their victims' flesh in a crude imitation of Aztec rituals to nourish the sun god.

There's all manner of good torture out there, cutting a person apart in front of their family et al, cm by cm with hot tongs & scissors, boring holes in someone & letting all manner of insects & vermin run through them, the best psychological torture I've heard of is probably force feeding someone their family members.

I once read a web novel in which the Demon Lord defeats the armies of templars sent to slay him & devotes himself to driving one of their commanders mad, every day amputating his limbs, having his worst cooks prepare them, force feeding them to him & then healing him, & eventually flaying him, grafting his comrades' faces all across his body, & animating them with necromancy.

There is a torture technique where the victim is strapped to a chair, and a drop of water sporadically falls on their face. Apparently, the victim goes insane, because they are constantly wondering when the next drop will fall. I'll try to find the name of it and post it here.

Chinese water torture.

Here are some things that people have done through out history and some that i have read from.

1. Strapping someone on to the bed with a box on their abdomen with a rat inside. Then you would heat up the box and the rat will dig into the abdomen to escape the heat.
2. pouring hot metal liquid into the eyes. (i think it was the mongols???)
3. trapping people into a sealed box filled with flesh eating insects. (like the mummy)

These are some that i could think of so far.

Also, a long time ago I heard from a torture method where a goat licks your foot. Idk, I probably remember it because it sounds really spooky. It was probably about being ticklish.... just google it, if it isn't in the list the link above has. + There's a manga where they mentioned the torture method of a human being hanged above the earth so that their foot can almost, and it's really important that they can only almost reach the earth, leaving the victim to craving to stand on the earth.

Chop off a mans you know what, and shove it down his throat or get a python and put that in his throat, ahhhhhhhhhhh......gives me chills.

For psychological, the same book that had the salt thing also had someone strapped to a chair and forced to watch someone they'd known since childhood who was both best friend and almost their adoptive mother climb into a car. The strapped down person and attempted driver had been taken hostage and the attempted driver was trying to escape. The strapped down person was told the person in the car was sat on explosives and had to watch as a person they despised pushed the button and boom.

How about cutting around the abdomen, feeding a victim something (so they stomach produces acid) then quickly slit the stomach lining, sew up the outer flesh wound if possible and watch as they burn from the inside?

The stomach will produce gastric acid regardless of you feeding the victim. It would take hours for you to start seeing the victim in pain (probably longer because hydrochloric acid doesn't do well with fat and connective tissue).

Most of the suggestions of disgusting acts a human can make on this board involve only the action and not the reaction of others. What makes these acts disgusting is the reaction, thoughts, and feelings of the one suffering, the one inflicting the pain, and, to spice the tension, the one observing. If you know what these characters are feeling, then it truly becomes disgusting, especially if the thoughts are positive in some way. That portrays the selfishness and cowardice of humanity as a whole, and will make the reader think of themselves and their own thoughts and actions compared to the story's characters, making it truly terrifying as the reader realizes that they are capable of committing the same despicable actions. That is what makes the horror genre so amusing in the first place.

Flaying can be pretty horrific if written correctly. If you could reflect the character's inner pain while their skin was being removed, it would have a stronger impact on the reader than if you were to focus solely on the physical pain. Blend the feelings:) Or if you're writing from the perspective of the person committing the act, that would be really interesting.

If that's the case, then you could focus on the protagonist's point of view. That would interest the reader as that character is so mentally different in comparison. You could also write in another character's point of view as well as the protagonist's to show the reactions that a mundane person would have to the protagonist's actions and reactions. Or even a monster's point of view while the protagonist kills said monster in such a brutal way that it seems as if he/she is possibly worse. That would certainly set an eerie and disturbing atmosphere fit for a mind inflicting horror story. I hope this helps you, and good luck with your story!

Well it's really abvout other people bacause someone may find dead body as "horror" and someone else as "cool. whats so scary about this?" I'd try to give as many people the biggest shivering they can imagine. Let me show you an example: "He grabbed the small spiky hammer in his old looking hand. He grabbed a nail and hold it in front eyes as he stood in front of the grey wall. He was ready. He slowly started leaning to the wall. The nail was getting closer to his eye, more and more until it made a contact with a eye." you know what is next. My english isnt so good so i cant go deeply in describing it but i think if you would go in describing the pain into the smallest details, that could do it. I hope i helped not too late :F

This is just a random idea but how about some sort of interrogation scene where the interrogator uses a dull meat knife to slowly slice off slivers of...flesh....

Put in that the camera that is filing the room is off too, since we dont want any leaks going out of the interrogation office

I don't know if someone has said this or not, but here is a good idea. The most horrifying thing you can do to someone...is keep them alive. Now hear me out. You make them live, but only with the bare necessities. only feed them when they are about to starve to death. Give them water then they are about to die of thirst. Keep them in a room with a window high above them that only opens late at night, and have them sleep on the floor with a rag for a blanket. Nothing is more horrifying to do to someone else that keep them living under horrible conditions when they don't want to anymore. Except one of the many gruesome things I choose not to say because I don't want too scar anyone.

Also, your idea sounds like a POW camp from WWII >>96. While those were the epitome of deplorable conditions, I seem to remember it making some people stronger and driving their will to live because they hated their captors and wanted to escape.

One of the worst things you can do to another person is to kidnap the people they love and lock them all in a white room. No food, only water. The all white walls will drive them insane and starvation will force them to eat one another alive or to kill them by repeatedly smashing their head into a wall. Whoever survives will leave the room to live with the fact that they are now a cannibal and that they ate their loved ones.

1. Tie them down. 2. Prick them with as many needles as possible. 3. Make sure they are awake. 4. Take out a scalpel and make as many cuts into them as possible without making them pass out. 5. Begin to skin him/her. 6. Once the majority of the skin is off, stop caring about whether they are awake or not. Beginning to remove the inside, like a pumpkin. 7. Take the insides into an empty room, hang them on the wall. 8. Slowly cook the skin, cut it to make it look like average slices of meat snacks. 9. Give the corpse about a day to rotten. 10. Invite the victim's loved ones to the "party". Serve the "planned meat snacks" at the door.
