I think this is more science fiction but the Maximum Ride books by James Patterson ARE ME LIFE.

I mean. They're really good. You should read them. If you want. You dint have to. Just my advice.

you should try the secret of the immortal nicholas flamel by michael scott. the percy jackson series by rick riordan is also great! also uglies by scott westerfeld.

Look into Ian Irvine, Trudi Canavan,Patric Rufthuss. And of course the Wheel of time which I assume you know since you are familiar with Sanderson.
