Does anybody have any recommendations for books? I'm interested in fiction books that have a lot of action in them. Or just anything that is very interesting and brings the reader back for more.

Wings Of Fire(series)(Tui T. Sutherland), Percy Jackson and the Olympians(series)(Rick Riordian), Dreamtreaders(series)(Wayne Thomas Batson), Through Her Eyes (Jennifer Archer), and The Neptune Project (series)(Polly Holyoke). I love all these, they're amazing and books you can reread whenever and all the time! :)

What really brought me back to reading was when I read The Godfather over this past summer. While the movie has been my favorite for years now, the book is quite the experience also.
Mario Puzo wrote a few other books and another very good one is The Sicilian. In this one Puzo paints a vibrant landscape of Sicily and tells a heroic tale based on true historical events from post-WW2 Sicily. The main character, Salvatore Giuliano, starts a movement to bring freedom and prosperity to his people, to release them from the clutches of the nobility, the church at the Mafia. He's truly one of the greatest literary heroes I've come across so far.

The book i am going to recommend is one that was on the class litterateur list so it definitely a classic, but i loved it. The book is the importance of being earnest. Its satiric of the upper (British) class in the 1900's. Its short, its lighthearted, and it will definitely make you look better because it is a book that was made before 2000 and is something you read by your free will.

If you like fantasy, I would recommend the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson (series), the first book is Gardens of the Moon.
There's also A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, the first book being A Game of Thrones.

There's a series called the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, and I would recommend it to any avid reader. It's an incredibly well written fantasy setting with very real elements, and it's guaranteed to hold your interest.

I highly recommend The Lunar Chronicles series. I stumbled upon the fifth (or fourth, story-wise?) book, "Winter", and had to read the entire series in order because I didn't want to reach the ending. The series itself is based on fairy tales like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White, but in a futuristic sci-fi world where tensions are rising between Earth and the Empire of Luna.
