I'm kinda curious about other writting traditions people have in their countries :o here's one of mine which is called a "payada" where the first person writes a short 4 line response in ABAB or ABBA rhymed scheme or freestyle praising himself in an exaggerated way and then another person(or people) , known as the counterpoint(s), must reply making fun of what he says in the same ABAB,ABBA,scheme or freestyle, slang and "bad" grammar are encouraged, the payador or counterpoint loses when they can't respond inmediately (We can have a 24 hrs limit) or when they declare themselves "de carton" (made of cardboard, a fake) .
An example would be: Payador: For I am son of a devil mischievous since my birth but taking it to the next level I've tricked even Mother Earth! Counterpoint: Ye can't be really serious! You're so full of air smarter than you would be a bear and stronger a bacteria! Made it off the top of my mind, I'm sure you people can think of better ones :D Here's mine to get this started.
In my times as a young lad ladies admired me by the thousands twas' no passing fad evry' day I had like a dozen!
by the way, I'm confused. The reply has to be in ABAB pattern if the payador is? can't really interpret the pattern of the counterpoint in your example
