Hello guys! Share your horror novels recommendations. Here's the rules (?):

1) No Stephen King please. I know him yes. You know him too.
2) I want it to be organized and informative as much as possible, so follow the format:

A. Title and author of the novel. You could add a picture of you want
B. Short description of the novel
C. Why you recommended it. No spoilers please.

3) You could put as many entries as you want. Just follow the specified format.

That's all thanks! I also encourage healthy discussions so you could comment about the entered recommendations and share your opinions as well. What makes the novel tick? Did you had the same experience too? Did you had nightmares? I'd like everyone to discover new horror novels too so just post below!

Here's my Recommendation

A: Summer of the Ubume by Natsuhiko Kyogoku
B: Akihiko "Kyogokudo" Chuzenji, the title's hero, is an exorcist with a twist: he doesn't blieve in ghosts. To circumnavigate his clients' inability to come to grips with a problem being their own, he creates fake supernatural explanations--ghosts--that he the "exorcises" by way of staged rituals. His patients' belief that he has vanquished the ghost creating their problems cures them.
C: The story has a lovely rhythm, I found it to be quite unpredictable, creepy, made me doubt my own existence at times, and begging for more. The story is part of a series, but only the first volume was translated into english sadly, even so its worth the read, one of the best books i've read in a long time.

Its a bit difficult to find, A new copy costs 90$ on amazon for some reason (used are only 30$) Buy it used, its worth the price.

>>2 will give this one a try, if I could find it. I really like Japanese horror because it does something new. There are few western horror novels that I actually liked and most of then tend to be more psychological.
