Am I right here when I'm searching for books? I hope I am~

I'm searching for some nice books to read, but I really HATE romance. It's really hard to find books without romance or love stuff.

So, does anyone here know some really good books WITHOUT romance and love stuff?

lol so I'm guessing you're stuck in the impressionable teen section of the library/book store a.k.a. young adult.

I'm sure there are some good young adult books without love in them, but let's see if I can remember some good books without any signs of love in them.

Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events. 13 books in total, but a very good read considering each book is 300+ pages.

"Horowitz Horror" and "More Horowitz Horro" by Andy Horowitz. Horror, how can you go wrong? =)

"Heart to Heart" by Lurlene McDaniel. Title might seem romantic, but it's about a heart transplant, so do not worry.

I'm sure there's more. I can't think of any, but if you really want more just google books without romance. I'm sure something will be there.

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series is a great saga that incorporates mythology from all over the world. The first book is called "The Alchemyst." It has no romance and the plot is so full of twists and turns you honestly won't be able to put it down. If you like mythology or history then I'll definitely recommend it.

I heard that the Prince of Thorns is quite a dark book. Better check it out sometime.

Haven't read a lot books without romance. It's practically inevitable. But if you're into novels that don't focus on romance, I recommend The Discworld novels. It addresses certain issues that are still relevant today while still being funny. It's a fantasy series that makes subverts the genre too, so it's really fun to read.

Im half way through reading otsuichi's "Sumer, fireworks and my corpse" and so far, its really good and doesn't have any romance. they're short stories, so they're good to just chill with and his way of writing is really interesting! His manga/book GOTH was also amazing, but ive only read them manga and seen the movie (because the book is like $50 to ship to where i live...)

But anyway, his books are really dark, but if you want to try it, i'd totally recommend it!

Why not give "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger a try. It might be a little dated but its an interesting read. In my sincerest opinion, its like finding a new friend.
