Other books: "Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer
"Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens
"This One Summer" by Jillian Tamaki (comic)
"The Princess Diaries" by Meg Cabot (the whole series is actually pretty good xD)
"Carrie" by Stephen King

3 Name: Tops : 2014-12-27 23:04 ID:PwegFcIU [Del]

"The Dark Tower" by Stephen King
"Krampus" by Brom
"A cruel wind" by Glen Cook
All of them are fantasy. Krampus is a little more seasonal.

Here is a pretty fun book to read, "John Dies in The End" by David Wong. It's the only book I don't mind reading twice.

5 Name: Eton : 2014-12-30 19:59 ID:4WcyWr8k [Del]

"Lord of the Flies" by William Golding
"1984" by George Orwell
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
"The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger
"The Double" Fyodour Dostoyevsky
"The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde
if you're into classics they're pretty good :)

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

It's a book where we folow the story of a 15 y/o boy who is suffering of autism (though it is never directly said in the book, we can easily deduce it). It's narated at the 1st person and I personally liked it a lot. When I read it, I was around 13, if I can remember well, and found it really easy to read.

If you haven't read it yet, I seriously suggest reading "Dune" by Frank Herbert. It's a Sci-Fi/Fantasy but the plot really throws you for a loop. And if you like it, there is a huge expansion of the universe in a series of series (pardon the pun) written by the same author and also some by his son.

>>5 I love those books, definitively recommend them too.

Some books I personally suggest:

"The God of Small Things" by Arundhati Roy
- If you like magic realism and stories that reflect the tenderness of small details this Indian beauty is for you.

"The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery
- Different stories connect in a small apartment building in France. Very nice and heartwarming.

"Samurai" by Hisako Matsubara
- ... I wont say anything because I will ruin the plot and the soul of this story. It is a pretty short book, but powerful.
