Writing a Book. Any suggestions? (5)

Hey~
I'm writing a book, 61 (well, 60 something to be honest) pages in, and I kinda have writers block.
I'm at the part when a side character meets up with his girlfriend after getting kidnapped, malnourished, etc. Plus, the kidnapper has tracking devices on all of their victims (7 in total)so they can't escape. The kidnapper sent him to find some info, (which was found easily) and I don't really know what to do from there.
Should she just brush his sickly look off as being depressed, or should she just take him to the hospital to get back on his feet?
The issue with him being brought to the hospital is that the story would just die from there, but I also want a little bit more action as the kidnapper will go into the hospital and do some scary dancing (I guess).
But if she just brushes it off, than the story would move smoothly with no action scene.

I kinda told myself that I would finish it this summer (end of summer is August).
Thanks~

Put the effect on the story to the side and look to the character. What is she like? Is she the kind of person that would panic and demand he be taken to the hospital, or is she more calm and trusting? If you're not sure, then put these scene to the side and characterize her. Imagine her in day to day situations, with or without the character you're thinking of. Figure out what goes on in her mind. It should be easier to choose once you understand her :O
