Questions thread (6)

I have seen quite a few threads on this board that are just to ask a single question, so I thought that we could just use this single thread to make and answer questions. Like the information brokering thread on the main we could also make it to where there are shortcuts to the different questions so that the same ones don't get asked all the time. If everyone is fine with this idea, I will ask the first question.

I am in the middle of writing a book, but I don't know how it is so far. Do any fellow dollars know a good way I could get it criticized, without using friends and family since they usually try to be gentle and not hurt feelings?

Try using a site like WeBook, Writing, Tikatok, Booksie, etc. You can make an account on those sites and post your writing up chapter by chapter for different books to get feedback from other users.

On those sites, is it free to make an account?

I am back, and I am almost finished with writing the story. My new question has to do with the fact that I am going to be needing a publisher soon, but i don't know what all happens when you want to get published and what happens after the publishing company approves to work with your book. Can someone explain the general process, before, during, and after please?
