Hardest Thing When Writing? (8)

1 Name: Erika !IMCadVsMqg : 2013-12-01 23:24 ID:lzhTZd79 [Del]

What is it you have the hardest time doing when writing? For me it's finding the right name for a character and finding a good way to start the story!

For me, the hardest part is definitely sticking to the plot that I've already set up and not letting it stray off because of character driven events.

>>2 I agree with you;
I always make a plan about the main subject, plot, characters and everyting, but few times I started overthinking and adding something new as the story progresses and changeed the original plan completely... sometimes that can be a good thing, but mostly story loses it's sense and becomes about something else. That's especially bad for me 'cause I never read anything I write, after I write it.

Introduction is the hardest part without doubts,
because you need to create a interesting main charachter and a good history on few pages.

>>4 I feel the same way when writing, although when I try writing, it's more of the "so where do I start?" type of deal.

I always have a really hard time characterizing my charas :/
the same goes with developing the story, it's frusterating ._.
Introductions also annoy me, i always cannot come up with a beginning to bring a hook.

Beginning a story is a nightmare for me; I can think of things that can happen later on, but it's always difficult to think of how things begin.

I can picture what I want in a chapter so clearly but when I go to write it dosn't turn out right. Either that or I skrew up somewhere and have tomthink of a creative way to fix it.
