What are some books that have made you cry more than just a few times?

I haven't personally read anything that has made me cry, but I have read some fanfictions that did (trust me, they aren't the corny romance stuff that you just pictured in your mind).

I just read THE DARK DIVINE by Bree Despain and i could not stop crying. From now on that's my favorite book.

Are light novels considered books? Because I cried like a little baby at the end of the first Sword Art Online light novel, man, that love was real! :'<

Breaking dawn.

Oh my... let's see... The Kite Runner, such an emotional story, and The Book Thief made me cry so many times... also, Wuthering Heights, Le Petit Prince (yes, I cried reading The Little Prince). Also, Capitães da Areia ("Captains of the Sand", a Brazilian book) and Dom Casmurro (another brazilian book). Whoa, I think I'm a crybaby... but I think there are stories that go deep into our hearts and I can't avoid being emotional...

Going for 'unoriginal' and saying... The Fault in Our Stars, and House of Leaves (I liked Jed ;_;).

>>7 Nope. Not unoriginal at all.

I cried for a good hour during the faul in our stars. In fact lets just call it the last 150 pages that made me cry. I then cried for a full half hour afterward. If you dont cry you have no soul. You know whats gonna happen the second you read the summary, but you deny it the whole book through.

Im suprised no one has said "Where the red fern grows" cause that made me cry like a little bitch.

Also the Hunger games, and alot of manga, but thats kinda implied.

Well I've red a book called Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It wasn't really the romance or anything, but the suspense and hardship through it all was very intense I definitely recommend it.

I was in 5th grade but still, Where the Red Fern Grows is the reason teachers stock up on all those tissues.

Perks Of Being A Wallflower! I almost forgot about that one. I think that book changed me a little. But then again good books tend to do that.

The manga "Crime and punishment:falsified romance" made me cry, it was really psychological and made my heart cringe, and my fingers ache. it was truly a mental/heart stabbing story I'll never forget.

The Fault in Our Stars, man. Just... ugh.

No One's Perfect by Hirotada Ototake too.

29 Name: Loliprincess : 2013-09-08 12:08 ID:hRkHjE3Y [Del]

While I wouldn't say I cried reading this book, I did feel sadness and I was crying on the inside. Frankenstein. It may be a weird choice, but if you read the original novel and read about the monster's experiences, it is sad. Period.
