I just wanted to post this so people could read it and tell me if its good or not. I dont know its my story so what i would say would be VERY biased. So tell me what I can work on and see how that goes. If you guys want to post your stories on here , thats fine to i would like to read them when i get the chance:)

Two boys, two strangers, living in the same city. Both go to seperate schools, never knowing of each others exsitence. One day, one of the boys, name, Eddie Norcross, is walking home from the 2nd week of school, only about to be crushed by a 18 wheeler containing oil. Eddie sees the truck but can't move out of the way fast enough.

He is then in Purgatory, being asked a simple question: " Hello Eddie, your time has come. Would you like to become a Reaper and continue living life or die?" Eddie agrees to live again,but doesn't realize the choice he just made will impact his life forever.

He is then placed back in his body but at the hospital. The doctors say he was dying due to the shattered ribs and two broken legs, unable to stop the bleeding. But now he is all better. No one can explain this,neither can Eddie. Later on, his spritual body is sent to Heaven to meet with Alan and Lou. Alan is the 2nd God in the world, Lou is the 2nd Devil in the world. They both replaced the original God & Devil, when God stepped down,and when the Devil's powers got to rampute and later got locked away.

Alan and Lou explain to Eddie that he is now a Reaper, a phyiscal and spritual embodment of the Grim Reaper but he is not the only Reaper. He is to help or kill the ghosts,Demons, Humans, and sentient beings in his city that endanger it. There are many Reapers that exist but many of them have been forgotten.

"If you die as a Reaper, not as a human, as the two are different forms of each other, your exsitence in life and in the history of the world will be erased. No one will remember you, you'll be erased from history," said Alan.

"Do you still accept becoming a Reaper Eddie? Once you make the choice, you'll be a Reaper for life,along side everyone else that is or has been a Reaper." added on by Lou.

Eddie,thinking to himself,curious and worried about the words he may say. "I want the world to become a better place,not just for me,but for everyone. But I know now that ideal is impossible...As a Reaper, ill be able to protect the people that need it and redeem the lost souls. Maybe...maybe I'll even be able to find my mother...If she isn't already died... I'll do it. I'll do it and take in stride. You two have got yourself a new Reaper on your hands!" Said Eddie proudly, as if he knows the trials he'll face will be difficult but is willing to push himself to the edge,for himself and for the ones he cares about.

"I see. Well,welcome to Heaven Eddie. Call me Alan from now on." Said Alan in a friendly tone.
"Knock 'em dead kid. " Wittly said Lou.

"Now, when do I begin my training?" eagerly said Eddie. "As soon as you recieve your Sycthe,then you'll have Mr.A as your mentor. He teaches all the new comers and will tell you where to start as a Reaper. Good luck Eddie." said Lou. "I'll do my best!" Said Eddie,walking away from both Gods.

"Alan,why the hell is he so damn proud to walk among the dead?" Lou said,looking at Alan.

"I think what Eddie needs is a reality check. He's had a decent life but its not the dead he's worried about Lou. Its his mother. She left him when Alice was only 2 months old,leaving Eddies dad to care for a 2 year old Eddie and a 2 month old Alice. Hes upbringing hasnt been the best but maybe him being a Reaper can prepare him for the future."

"Is it right to tell a 14 year old boy that he's going to fight horror in a new way from now on, always looking over his shoulder incase of danger?"

"Life can be pretty shitty Lou. Trust me, I'm God after all, ive dealt with things im not proud of. Same for you as well"

"Hm...oh fuckin well. Life goes on right?"

"Right but...for how long?"





Just a VERY rough draft of Reapers,the manga ill be working on and ahve been working on for the past year, hope you guys liked what I wrote. I'll reivse it so it doesn't sound so chessy but its the best ive got so far. I'll add more in the future for everyone to read! ~Narukami

I think it's really good. You should write some more.

At first I thought about the manga "Bleach" when I read this, but after I read more about it, it's quite interesting for me. So what about the other boy? Is he going to be his rival? Or what? Haha can't say I'm not waiting for you to write more about it. Keep it up man!

Damn. Wow. What publishing press are you going to submit this to? Its pure genius. I'm working on a manga too, but it's not this well developed...I'm to shamed to post it but you must keep up this series. :3

Wow. I have to say this is really intriguing and well thought up. I'm writing my own series but it's nothing as exceptional as this. Please if possible continue to post more and once you do publish this expect me to be one of the first to buy a copy.

I like it! :D It seems really interesting!

I love the story. One thing is, though, some of the dialogue you wrote is pretty cliche, mainly in Eddie's little speech. I feel that many protagonists in manga are extremely similar to each other nowadays, so just be sure to make him unique. Also, maybe you shouldn't just have Alan say Eddie's whole backstory--it might be more interesting if it was revealed gradually, maybe in a series of flashbacks. Just some ideas, you can ignore them if you want to. I really love the idea of a second God and a second devil; it's something I would never have thought of. Keep up the good work! :D

I havent checked back on this thread in a while and didnt think people would actually get into it but I'm happy to see alot of you like this ! I promise to deliver more of my story on here!

I know I shouldnt spam the thread with alot of my replies but, I promise in due time, i'll be writing more of the sotry and be posting it on here. I think I would like a fanbase on here before I get my friends to help me draw out the story for a manga/web comic/ whatever medium I can release this story as.

As for publisher, I am actually still in high school, about to be a junior! So I wont be going to any major publisher any time soon, sorry to disappoint anyone BUT I will say this. I am on summer vacation, and this will give me the time i need to lay out my story for everyone to read. This WILL be a manga down the line, I am currently in the process of drawing out the first cast of characters, Eddie Norcross, Scott (I cant decided on a last name, give me some ideas if you would like!), Kur (Eddies ancient power), and Ruk (Brothers of Kur, Scott's ancient power). Also, Eddie, Scott, Kur, Ruk will all be working togther as a team.

This story will have many plot twists, ecspically near the end, the second to final battle is going to be a MASSIVE feels fest for anyone who shall become a big fan of the story. But so far, I have planned to plot the story over the course of 7 years, from the age of 14 for Eddie and Scott until they are 21, to show the character development they shall go through. The story will have 7 arcs as well, no the arcs will not go year by year, some will be longer than others and some will be short but important arcs to the story later on.

If you have anymore questions for me regarding the story, feel free to ask me! Spread the word about Reapers! Who knows, maybe in the future, if I get famous along side my friends after making this manga, I can thank all the fans on this BBS for being part of my fanbase :)

I appericate everything you guys have said and shall work on it! Expect chapter 1 (Yes thats right CHAPTER 1) to be released in the coming weeks! If you also would like to see my process of Eddie being drawn (He is already drawn, just having trouble with Scotts image right now as of this time of this posting) I will post a picture in the Art gallery titled "Reapers Story: Eddie Norcross" or something like that for everyone can see how its coming along.
