So, I do a lot of writing in my spare time, but I always get writings block some how in some way. Do any of you Dollar writers get writer's block to? Well, this thread is for that. Lets all help each other out! Bounce ideas back and for, etc. Guess I need help first -_-

Soooo, I have a story about a boy who has always been able to see ghost. Him and his parents move into an old house, were the boy finds there is a carnival. A Carnival on the Roof (books title). I have most the story planed out, but I can't figure out what the hell to do with the main character's love interest. I feel like she's not a part of the the story enough, and their romance seams a little.... off, more like a second though, and almost randomly thrown in there. I don't want this to be a romance. Sure there's love in it, but that's not what the story is about, but I do want the main character to find true love. I came up with 3 solutions and wanna know what you guys think. Should I suck it up and throw her into the story more and just let the book be a damn romance, should I cut her out all together and say screw telling the readers about how he finds happiness, or just leave it as is, and if it seams off that's not my problem?

You could try bringing her into the story more as a friend rather than a love interest and slowly let their relationship grow. If you just have her more involved and hanging around more it'll feel less forced.

>>2 I thought of that, but I'm having a hard time working her into the story :/ hmmm...... I think that might work..... Really her character is small, and you only know that she ends up with the main character in the Epilog. you meet her only once. But I guess I could sort of throw her in there a bit more passing by and get the reader to know her a bit better. Really, her personality annoys the hell out of me -_- but I couldn't see my main character with anyone else but her. (>_> I haven't even given her a name yet.)
