how about your tipical highschool boy is walking down the street when a beutiful girl pops out of nowhere and asks you to help her. You see two guys in the distance looking like there chasing her without thinking the boy graves the girls hand and starts to run...

Amnesia. It always makes for a great story- and it is easily malleable to whatever story you have going.

Amnesia is also a huge cliche though especially when the protagonist can't remember his childhood however I guess if you write it originally it doesn't matter.
