This will be a gritty, bloody, dark fantasy RP set in a corrupted counterpart to our earth known as "Terra". It will take place in the late 1600s/early 1700s, spanning across Terra's East Asia, India, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Since it will be in this time period, political and religious tensions will be high in Europa (Europe), along with Europan imperialism in Asia and Africa. The New World will not be looked at, though it may be mentioned at some point.

And yes, I await Leigha's input on this; Any criticism will help. I've only ever been in RPs. I've never really made my own.

I've been in a lot of RPs, though no good ones until Barabi's, and I have one comment. I just think that it needs a bit more background information since that'll be the main driving force of what keeps the RP going. In your background information, I want some kind of idea what is going on at the time, anything interesting that could add to the RP, and some history. I say three to five good paragraphs (5-7 sentences each at least but 7+ each would be better) would be a perfect starting point to give me the information. I also think your should make your character first. I always use a combination of characters already in the RP and background information to see what would be the most interesting character I can include in it. That just keeps me from getting tired of the RP and ditching it.

One last note, do you mind if I go into more detail than the character template does when putting together my character? There might be a few things that I want to add that won't fit into any of those categories.

No, you did not screw this up. I just want more information to know what type of person would be the most interesting in the environment they're surrounded by.

I'll also add another side note that I've added on Barabi's RP before I even start on this one. I suck at RP fights, so you'll just have to hang in there while I attempt to not get my character killed if that's what it comes to. I may be good at RPs, but I've only rarely tried an actual RP fight. Give me a break there and I'll try my best if/when my character is put in that situation. Anything I do in said situation, such as godmodding, is unintentional.

Now....for some backstory:

Since it's in the "Age of Colonialism", the major Europan powers are starting to become more powerful and advanced; Wars over religion and holy lands are now fights over thrones and trading routes. In East Europa, the Germanic States have formed an alliance known as the Greater Germania, which wants to take all of Europa and become a great Empire. The Slavic Union is an Alliance/Confederation of the East Europan states, which are allied.....for now. They are expanding east, into siberia, which will eventually bring them into conflict the the Asian Kingdoms.

In East Asia, things are more subtle; The Old Kingdom is fractured into several powerful states, each trying to quietly destroy the others and become Emperor of all the land. Independent kingdoms are popping up in the Southeast. India has been subjugated and colonized by Europa.

For the types of people: It depends. These people could range from wander lust stricken noblemen to riches seeking vagrants and soldiers. They may be influenced by where they come from and who they support.

There can be magic, but nothing like conjuring epic storms or summoning huge rock golems or anything; mostly more average-tier magic like lightning bolts, ice spears, and some dark magic, like summoning demons (in a seance) or healing magic.

There will be different guilds/schools of magic depending on nation/region, but they will all be unified under a main administration.
