Poem - The Art of Life

Darkness crowds even the lightest and innocent of hearts

Waiting watching for the single second that it lets down its guard

Darkness comes in many forms,

Death,

Spite,

Sorrow,

More than one can explain,

Darkness is everlasting,

A spirit longing for others to share its punishment,

Coming to the innocent and whispering in there ear,

Controlling them,

Making them do deeds that cannot be explained,

Corrupting and spreading disease where it goes,

The battle over light and dark is waging at this very moment,

Even in the darkest time,

In the darkest cave,

In the darkest heart,

There can be light,

Whether it is a small glow,

Or an overpowering beam,

Light is what sends dark back into the cages locked away in the heart,

Deep down,

But,

Darkness cannot be locked up,

It can ooze and flow out of its ghastly cage,

Only when a soul opens the cage,

And lets out that darkness trapped in their heart,

Will they become corrupt?

Powerless to the feeling of the dark,

A heart so dark that fear is made the overwhelming darkness,

Even the slightest spark,

Glow,

Or light,

Can grow and bloom into something beautiful,

And grow around the darkness spreading light where it grows,

Locking it away,

Until it happens where a loved one’s soul dies,

Then the darkness comes and slithers out like the demon snake that commands it,

But, there is always hope,

If we remember that,

Then light will always come and save you from the overwhelming dark,

This is The Art of Life.

i loved that poem and it's so true darkness and liht is every where

Ikr that is why i wrote it.....i was having a hard time with life and i just started typing and this is what i got hehehe glad you liked it ^^
