Okay, I'm currently writing a fantasy story and I need cool, somewhat unique names. I've thought of a few but I'm stuck. Could anyone help me think of some?
The only thing is they can't be "normal" or popular names like: Bob, Fred, George.

Eastern European names can often fit in well with contrasting or western themes, such as Ivan, Tyruin, Aleksandar and so son.

Some normal names are pretty awesome, don't overlook that. Unnatural names, if overused, just make everything sound awkward.
Of course, using names that may have been common in your setting would make sense too. I guess it would help if we knew what that setting was? Like Pilgrim said, European names tend to be both "epic" and very normal for the setting.

Could you tell us a bit more about the story? Also, perhaps give us an idea on what characters you need names for, as well as what countries the story will take place in? It would be silly for a full-blooded Frenchman to have an unusual, Scandinavian name, you know? Those details should really be taken into consideration, as well as the name meaning.

Crescent is a good female name or well I think it's a good one. There's also Luna. But I like the phases of the moon as names. Solar is another name for a male, that I think is a good name.

I know how you feel; I'm not really good with naming my characters either. I have their personality, back story, and appearance in mind but it's tough finding a name that suits a character you already made. I usually use a name generator for names, but it gets really annoying choosing between so many names that you like.
What about Lulie(f), Ruzsa(f), Ezra(m), or Ahern(m)??

For my character names I take my friends names (since my characters were based off of them to begin with) and use the letters from their name to make new ones for the characters.
You could do the same even if the characters dont resemble real people. Also makes it feel more original because you made them up instead of giving others credit for names...

Go to some baby names website and look up names from other countries. Or if you don't want to be that exotic, just choose a name and use a real word (or variation of) for the last name (like Final Fantasy characters haha: Strife, Fair, Lockhart, Leonhart, Crescent, Valentine, etc)
