LGBT Themed YA Literature (11)

I was just wondering if anyone else likes this subgenre as much as I do. If so, does anyone have suggestions on authors or books?

there is a whole subgenre just based on LGBT, that just seems unnecessary. I don't see how it would add to the story or anything. Like how is having a gay character more special than a straight one.

NOTE: I have nothing against the LGBT movement, hell some of my closest friends are part of it.

Can someone explain to me what LGBT themed YA literature is?

I've... got nothing.

I believe it's Young Adult literature with LGBT themes?

So I would assume it would revolve around the moral struggles of accepting one's sexuality in adolescence or fitting into society as a homosexual, or something. And of course, all the drama that comes with it.

Okay, YA = Young Adult.

Now what is LGBT.

Closest I can figure is Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trisexual.

What the hell is a Trisexual...

so much problematic!

Anyway, my favorite one's from his genre are
"The Order of the Poison Oak" by Brent Hartinger and
"Hero" by Perry Moore and also
"The Vast Fields of Ordinary" by Nick Burd (which I could not remember for my life!)
