Hello, I'm from a Japanese family, it does taste good if the rice is still hot. However, we (my relatives) usually put just the yolk on the rice.

in Korean culture too, some people still eat like that. I used to eat raw egg and rice together with some sort of hot soup and it cooks a little. It's super good :)
Kagura eats that. Raw egg on rice if I am not blind.

Thing is, You mix it on the rice. which makes the rice yellowish. Try it, It's delicious. If you're eating egg, You shouldn't have problems eating this.

It's pretty delicious actually. I prefer to pan fry the egg instead with the soy sauce though.
