How to starve myself? (47)

1 Name: Anonymous : 2012-09-18 15:30 ID:tQvOiS+g [Del]

Before I start this, please don't go on about how I shouldn't lose weigtht that way and it isn't a good idea but it's my decision and life so... yeah.

I've been trying to starve myself for ages now but always on the first day I eat about three bowls of cereal whenever I get home. I'm trying to drink more water so I don't get hungry but I need more ways to resist food completely. Also, got any foods I can eat like types of bread and how much calories they have?

It doesn't matter if you tell people "not to go on about it," because they will anyway, for your own safety. Anyways, I recently watched a program about fasting, and all the diets work 3 good diets are:
Alternate Day Fasting
This is where you eat something like a cup of soup (or anything with 200 or less calories) one day, and absolutely anything you want the other days!
Prolonged Fasting
When you fast for four days and nights, and just like the others, you can only have one cup of soup a day.
The 5, 2 Fast
This is where you can eat whatever you like for 5 days, then fast for the weekend, again only having one cup of soup on fasting days.

These are good ways to lose weight, but I would recommend having a strong will, and doctors advice (especially on the Prolonged Fast)

Hope that helped!

Dude, why the fuck do you want to starve yourself? Just exercise to lose weight.

If you straight up stop eating, your stomach will just digest itself. What you really need to do is:

1.) Exercise
2.) Drink more water
3.) Eat more protein+fiber and less fat and sugar

Honestly, fat and sugar is not bad for you, so don't think for a second that you can get away with absolutely none.

It's not like I want to give you tips on how to starve yourself, but I've tried for a while and look.
Do not breakfast, when you don't you'll get hungry a lot at like 11 o'clock.
Don't eat, even though you are very hungry. The hunger will subside.
Then, you'll feel no need to eat for the rest of the day beside supper.

I do not recommend this, you will not lose weight, because you won't exercise. I did this for a while and the result wasn't very good as I expected.

It's very important to eat a healthy breakfast, lunch, and supper.

I learned this awhile ago, it's so true. If you don't eat then your body goes into "survival mode". It takes longer to burn the calories and you gain weight. So if you plan to lose weight this way, exercise to keep you metabelesim (can't spell XD) up so you'll burn the calories.

I know you just said don't say it but... What the heck is wrong with you, it's called dieting not starving yourself. Have you actually looked up what malnutrition can do to your body? Hint: it includes hair growing on your face.

19 Name: Anonymous : 2012-10-21 15:19 ID:StSINJNW [Del]

This is really bad for you, if you really want to lose weight and keep it off you need to eat healthy. If you want to snack, eat some veggies instead of cereal, and eat plenty during breakfast so you don't eat too much late, but eat all of your meals. Another this is to not eat late at night, and leave yourself some room for sweets, you don't want to eat them and feel guilty, just to eat some more. Also, exercise and drink water! That's way better than dieting. This will all become habit, and you'll be able to lose weight and be healthy for a long time.

20 Name: alice : 2012-10-22 08:59 ID:cAppQDzA [Del]

if you want to lose weight don't starve yourself. say when it's around breakfast eat oatmeal or some special K or cearal thats low in calories. And if it's aournd lunch go eat a salad with an apple and drink water not anything that has sugar. Just plane water. Around dinner eat little of whatever that your parents or whatever you're serving.

Lol, trying to lose weight by starving yourself.

It's a really ineffective way to lose weight, since your body will actually try to hold onto whatever calories you do intake as a survival mechanism and you'll probably just gain weight after the first couple of weeks.

You're probably better off eating small, numerous meals throughout the day to speed your metabolism up and doing exercises like jogging or swimming.

Or, you know, whatever. I don't get fat, so diets seem like a really stupid thing for me.

22 Name: Tsuki : 2012-10-23 00:32 ID:qI2tYojK [Del]

OR

YOU COULD TRY CRYSTAL METH. LOADS OF PEOPLE LOSE WEIGHT FROM USING THAT. But then you get the nasty side effects like hair loss, insomnia, irritability, death, blah blah blah

23 Name: Xero : 2012-10-23 13:04 ID:SYCE5gfN [Del]

Well in order to starve yourself get higher will power, and stop eating. But a more effective method is to follow the advice here >>21 or here >>22 or you could run on a treadmill until you throw up, continue running, and just don't stop. This method not only burns fat but you vomit out the contents of your stomach. But the side effects might be a little past your thresh hold, because they include torn muscles, high fatigue, malnutrition (Also comes with starvation and maybe a with meth) and death.

OK! You want to know the best way to loose weight, keep it off, still be healthy, and why? I'll tell you. Because I go to culinary school I had to take a crap ton of Heath and Nutrition classes, as well as I know someone who use to train gymnast for the Olympics. Those chicks know how to loos weight and have healthy diets!

The best eating pattern to be in is to.... ready for this? Eat all day long! Not much though. Lets say you get up at 7 am. Eat what ever you want for breakfast. And hr later eat a carrot. and hr later eat one or two pieces of cauliflower. And hr later eat 3-4 cherry tomatoes. An hr later eat more carrots. An hr later eat an apple. Then eat lunch. Again, eat every hr, small and healthy, until dinner. Then again, small and healthy until you go to bed. Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner how ever you like, if your super serious about loosing weight, eat small and healthy meals in that case. Just snack on healthy food all day long. The reason for this is because the body puts on weight in a time when there's no food. You don't eat for 8hrs, you body thinks "Food shortage! I need to store all the food I can as fat so I wont die, cause I don't know when there will be food again!" and you put on weight. When your eating healthy and light food all day long you body thinks "Oh, there's plenty of food! I guess I don't need to store anything, and I guess I don't need this extra fat because there's enough food coming I wont starve". The best way to choose a diet, is knowing your body. And our bodies main goal is to STAY ALIVE. We have all these... defenses build in. When you understand how those work, you can work with them. Olympic Gymnast hare REQUIRED to eat every two hrs.

Now, exercise. Exercise is great! But only when you do it right. Now eating properly when exercising can cause a lot of damage. When it comes to exercise, I know "Calories and Carbs are bad!" But they have a significant role in our body. They are what gives us energy. Marathon runners are continually eating bread, muffins, etc. Not because they can cause they work so much that it effect them, but because they have to. When you exercise you use energy, Carbs, and when those are gone you body have nothing to run on, you will get tire, run down, and feel awful. So, if you really like muffins, breads, ect, I'd say have that be your once hr snack when exercising, and the hr after exercising. Also, yes, you need to drink a LOT of water. The body is mostly water. When you sweat while working out, you loose water and need to replace it. But drinking water means nothing if you're not having some sort of salt intake. Salt, although to much is very bad for you, does help your body. It helps your body absorb the water. That's why football players drink gateraid. The sugar gives them that calorie boost they need and the salt helps their body absorb the water and restore what they've lost threw excessive sweating. If you don't replace that water you'll get dehydrated. That is not good at all! People die everyday from being dehydrated when they access to water and chose to drink something else or not drink at all.

Any Questions????

>>24 has it in a nutshell,

and if you do alot of high intensity cardio exercise that will help you speed up your metabolism which will help Lose Weight.

when I mean high intensity cardio exercise, it does not mean just running, what it does means is doing sets of squat jumping ,push ups, high knee ups, star jumps/jumping jakes, and using just about all of your body.

It isn't good to starve yourself no matter how you look at it. Humans need food to survive, otherwise we wouldn't be eating in the first place. it's just how life works, and there's nothing you can do about it. What you CAN try is working out and burning that fat off. Or thinking about what your eating before inhaling it.
All in all, people who try starving themselves to lose weight are just flat out lazy, and don't want to take the time and effort to actually do the above suggestions.

Trololololololololololololol

If I remember correctly, I made this thread AGES ago when I had anorexia so I am just laughing my f***ing head off right now. To all those d**che bags who were stupid enough to post tips on this, good luck on your death trip!!!!!! So anyways, to anyone with anorexia I just wanna say this:

Don't be afraid, you can let go. You don't need to control your life anymore or listen to those voices in your head. I come from experience when I say this, life does get better in the end. Always. Even if you're absolutely sure it won't. Hope you the best of luck. So, just be happy.

For everyone else this thread should die now so, yeah.

Pretty poor attempt at trying to claim that you made this thread, by the way. I would hardly call one month "AGES" and you can quite clearly see that OP types in a different fashion than you. So...yeah. whatever.

Your post doesn't even make any sense from a pro-ana perspective. Anorexics don't starve themselves because they want to die. That's just stupid.

This is a really stupid idea. I used to starve myself and it just ended in failure. You actually gain more weight doing this, compared to eating several small meals and exercising. Just be careful what you consider doing and the effects it has later on.

woah there~ you should never ever starve yourself! go on a diet yes, but starving yourself is a definite nono. if you want to lose weight the key is to eatwhen your supposed to (like breakfast lunch and dinner) but make sure what your eating is more on the healthy side, like no junkies. water is the way to go, so no artificial drinks like powdered juice and fizzies. an all natural fruit shake would be great for you as well. walk at least 30 minutes a day (walk your dog if you have one) dont sleep late and avoid processed foods. Remember that food gives you nutrients that you need to live. food isnt your friend but GOOD food definately is your bff. if you starve yourself, that will not only affect your immune system, but as well as your outer appearance. when you eat healthy you look and feel healthy, *lol that sounded like your average stereotypical nutritionist*

Do something else to take up your eating time? Like.. hehe.. addictive games? Or whatever it is you consider interesting, just to get your mind off of food. Works for me. :3

Im sorry, but this is terriable. There is a better way, such as cutting down calorie and fat intake, which is what I am doing.I'm not fat,Im just not at a weight that I desire(139 pounds,14,5'5)There are many ways to do so,such as cut down on snacking before/during/after school, such as I am doing, and you can also get in a daily work out while having a healthier snack before, instead of munching on chips when you get home, like I do.Gym class is also very helpful,If you can switch from an elective to gym class. It's the perfect way to push yourself, and If your gym teacher or school physician is good enough, they can help you plan out a healthy diet. And it's like my gym teacher said at the beggining of the year-Substitute foods.

There is a diffrence between anorexia and health.

Try balancing exercise with smaller portions. Maybe add more vegetables and fruits. I hope you can find a way that works for you without starving yourself. Also, I don't know if it will help, but loosing weight is a long term thing. Adipocites(or fat cells)don't disappear when you drop some pounds. Because they store fatty acids(basic form of fat)they only shrink. And no matter what you do be careful and keep an eye out for any bad consequences.

Hunger hurts but starving works thats my motto i'm not saying i'm anorexic but i will starve every now and then. Good going with the water and like 2 broken up crackers and some celery. I try and excercise when i'm bored so i dont think about food. But Echo has a point it is kind of long term
