1 Name: Thanatos!CRiLqZyIfQ : 2011-08-09 21:55 ID:Xt/cqUFC [Del]

n this thread, we're gonna talk about sandwichs. Yes, Sandwhichs. Post your favorite, a recipe, pictures, anything. I'm gonna be posting some recipes, I have a lot of them and I'm going to post them periodically. Here's the first one:

Cheesy New York High Rise Club:

1 (24 ounce) unsliced loaf style onion rye bread, seeded or plain
8 ounces Brie, with herbs or plain, rind removed
1 stick unsalted butter
1 teaspoon crushed dried red pepper
1 medium red onion, sliced
8 ounces aged Swiss cheese, sliced
8 ounces pastrami, sliced
2 1/1 cup baby spinach salad
4 ounces caraway Havarti cheese. sliced
Dijon mustard (optional)

Slice bread lengthwise in thirds. Toast bread lightly if desired.
Soften Brie 1 minute in microwave, if necessary. With a fork or in a food processor, crush or mash Brie cheese with butter and spices.
Spread Brie butter over cut sides of bread, including both sides of middle slice. On bottom slice add half the onions, Swiss slices, pastrami, half the spinach, center slice of rye bread, remaining onions, Havarti and remaining spinach. Close sandwich with remaining Brie-buttered bread.
Serve with Dijon mustard if desired.
Makes 6 servings.

2 slices of wheat bread.
1 piece of any lunch meat.
2 sliced pickles.
1 slice of any kind of cheese.

Spread Mayonnaise on one slice of bread.
Then add mustard to the same slice.

I eat these all the time. They take like one minute to prepare are are delicious.

Anyone ever had a Reuben? These are the King of all Sandwiches. I'll copy and paste some ingredients.

  • Rye bread

  • Mayonnaise or Thousand Island dressing (Thousand Island is way better on a Reuben)

  • Corned beef

  • Sauerkraut

  • Swiss cheese

Spread 2 slices of rye bread lightly with mayonnaise or Thousand Island dressing. Put a layer of sauerkraut over one slice, then top with a slice of corned beef then a slice of Swiss cheese. Top with the second slice, mayonnaise side down. Butter outside of reuben sandwich lightly with soft butter or margarine and toast on a griddle or grill, turning to brown evenly.

Two slices of buttered bread, canned tuna and some sliced cucumber. However, if you feel like it, you can add some lettuce to that, as well as some pepper.

Overall, tastes awesome.
