Alrighty, fans of manga all over the world. Buckle up and get ready for a other adventure from the author of much-loved Pandora Hearts, Jun Mochizuki.
According to ancient legend, there once lived a vampire named Vanitas who was born on the night of a blue moon when most others are born on the night of a red moon. He was so isolated and hated by his own people, he swore to destroy them all and created the ultimate instrument in doing so: the Book of Vanitas. Now, in a steampunk Paris, Noé is in search of the Book. Not only does he find the Book, he finds a doctor that uses the Book's power to heal "Curse-Bearers", vampires whose true names have been manipulated. What is the name of this mysterious doctor? It's Vanitas, of course!
This manga is only twelve chapters long so far, so it's hard to say what sort of direction it will be taking in the future. However, from what we've seen from Jun Mochizuki, I'm sure we can expect great things from this manga.

One big, final thing I would like to make a deal about with this manga is the art. Just take a minute to zoom in on that picture and appreciate the detail involved. Like, wow. You see those background people? They have faces. You see those windows over there? They've got windowsills. Imagine how long Junmochi-sensei must have spent on that. Her skill alone is, in my opinion, enough reason to read this manga.

I absolutely LOVE Mochizuki Sensei's work!!(Though, Pandora Hearts left me depressed after I read it)
The art is beautiful too~ If you'd look at Crimson Shell and the first volumes of Pandora Hearts you could see how much her art improved.
The story is pretty interesting and the characters have very interesting personalities. One other thing I like about the characters is that they show some similarities to some characters from PH.
And I agree. People should take some time just to appreciate the detail that goes into her work.
The only thing I don't like about it right how long it takes for the English updates to come out ;-; It feels like suchh a long time~

Love Jun Mochizuki's work! The amount of detail and effort that goes into her art is beautiful, actually can't get enough of it! Pandora Hearts is my all-time favourite, just hoping this new series has a slightly happier ending...

Oh wow! This looks super promising. Jun Mochizuki is an amazing mangaka, and I'm actually reading Pandora Hearts. I'll be looking out for this one... Steampunk Paris sounds pretty awesome.
