Here goes a recommendation of a manga, well... Manhua to be precise, which is pretty well unknown. Unfortunately. The story begins right after the Xuanwu Gate Incident in Changan, the capital of Tang in China. Li Shimin has usurped the throne and become emperor, killing all his relatives in his ascent. However, Li Chang Ge, daughter of the murdered rightful heir escapes and seeks revenge. The Red Scourge is high in the sky and the Tang Dinasty might end up in ashes... because of a woman.
Regarding more superficial facts:
The drawing style is gorgeous, very elegant and delicate but at the same time powerful when it needs to be. Though I must say the names of the characters at first are a bit confusing, you soon end up marvelled about them. The storytelling is concise but well written. The plot begins with just a few cities but soon starts to widen the spatial sense of the story as well as displaying an enriching variety of cultures apart from the Chinese.
More meaningful facts:
The characters are very complex and suffer profound, interesting developments throughout the story. What starts as a simple thread rapidly becomes a messy twine of other stories and conspiracies that support and expand the overall idea. Strong female and male characters, with their humane flaws and virtues.
For me, is the typical manga you get addicted to and wish it to be adapted into anime. ASAP.
Hmm..I am a bit sensitive as I sees the author name because there is rumor about her copying ideas here and there from other authors'work...i am using the chinese forum tieba as well as comic.qq.com
