Anyone seen it or heard of it? I got interested because of it's mysterious name. Although, it wasn't the violence or nudity that was too much for me, it was the themes and message of the story. Opinions? Was it too much for you? (PS: just cuz you read like 2 sentences about it here, don't try watching it immediately if you haven't heard of it.)

I watched the first episode of the anime. Now apparently my friend found out it had nude people, I'm officially the perverted person that watches porn in science class =_____=

Sexual nudity in Elfin Lied? Oh, oh man. That's a good one - I haven't laughed that hard since I was told that Cowboy Bebop was a mediocre series.

I watched the anime to it, never touched the Manga - And while the anime itself pales in comparison if the hearsay is to be believed, I can't bring myself to try. The sheer impact the series left on me makes me hesitant to try a variation of the story, for fear that it wouldn't mean as much to me the second time.

Also, Yuka - The guy's cousin? I hate that bitch.

I watched the anime and liked it, then I started reading the manga and I just sort of lost interest...I should probably start reading it again; I wasn't really satisfied with the anime ending..

But what i really don't get is why that anime is called "Elfen Lied" (Pixies Song) barely makes sense to me.

well....i'm not that much in elfen lied, its good but not that much more to me, but i love the music in it ^^

Hello, super old thread.

I read the manga while the anime was still coming out (I was very impatient back th-, well, I'm still impatient). In comparison to the anime, I have to say the manga is much better. Only because the anime's ending was incredibly disappointing. I felt bad for Lucy, I really did. It's hard having the person you love (Kouta), love you, but not you. If that makes sense. Lol, he loved Nyu, but I don't think he loved Lucy ;-;

Which was sad, and Yuka just irritated me to no end. I wish Kaede (Lucy) killed her instead. But.. yeah.

THE ENDING. HGNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, MY HEART.

It was gory and wrong, but oh so interesting to read
