so ive been wanting to read one piece for years now, but it is so long...Is it worth it? what are everyones thoughts?

I think it is. I just started reading it this april, and before may started I was already finished with it. I'm just waiting for the every week chapters of it.

If your in vacation, you can read it really fast.

Oh, it's worth it.

It just gets a lot of hate for being silly and ridiculous, as well as one of those long-running shonens, but frankly I like it better than the average shonen manga. Once you get passed the crazy (and in fact, I like the crazy,) it has nice themes that hit close to home, most prominently the emphasis on "nakama."

I may consider it a guilty pleasure, but it's a great choice compared to other long-running shonen manga.

That said, I am not caught up.

I find it great. I think it is one of the only long-running shounen manga to not jump the shark. The characters are great, and the humor is added in at the right moment without taking away from the action.

You'll love it.

Definitely worth it. It starts off a bit slow, but gets really awesome later on :) The later arcs are SO good...don't want to spoil it for you though :P

Yes, definitely. The start is kinda slow but later on it gets really awesome, I know that's kinda vague but if I said much more it would spoil it.
