So everyone's been playing Visual Novels, but is anyone into making/creating them? Like, using softwares like Ren'Py or Novelty visual novel maker?

Sadly, I am not, I have written stories that read like a visual novel but I have never got the software to make one myself. But my friend on the other hand, is going the extra mile and creating her own with hand-drawn characters. I cannot tell you which software she intends on using but if you are curious, I can text her :)

I prefer Ren'Py though, I hope she uses it too >.> Is she planning to release her VN to the public? Any websites/blogs that your friend created to talk about her visual novel? :3

Maybe on her tumblr but I really wouldn't know. She told me not to long ago that she was going to look for voice actors to voice her characters but since it's not done yet, I don't really know when that might be. But maybe I will make my own visual novel. But I would have to do my own research

I actually worked on a visual novel that was just released on Steam last month! It's called "Palinurus," check it out if you're interested.

I would love to work on a Visual Novel. But I need a team for that, since I can't draw well, neither compose music. I have started some test vns to see if I am able to program that stuff, and yeah, it's not that hard using RenPy.
I would really appreciate it if someone interested replies here haha

In my case, my like yourself, I can handle the programming side of things, however areas like art or music I've got no hope in. Perhaps you should see if you can talk amongst people you know, and see if anyone could help you with areas that you are less skilled in?

I will start learning how to program on RenPy. I will create a visual novel. But I have the same problem as you guys. I can only program. But I got my friend to draw for me, but I'm still think about what I'm going to do about music. I can play the guitar but creating a soundtrack is a completely different thing.
