Honestly I'm quite surprised that there hasn't been a thread made for Steins;Gate in the VN section.
Anyway, has anyone played this? I'm reading through the manga (and about to download the anime), and the story is quite interesting. If anyone is curious, www.erogedownload.com has the game with English patch up for download.

You mean they finally made a full english patch? Wow, the anime actually did help. I've been checking the progress of the translation patch every month or so and this seemed to be one of those titles destined to be stuck in moonrunes forever. Brb, need to download and play through before educated commenting can commence.

Just checked, english patch still isn't fully completed, but it's a damn sight further than it was last month. Maybe I'll just have to wait another month before they're finished properly.

Yeah, as far as I'm aware there is not another group (at least worth mentioning) doing Steins;Gate (unless some super secret group evaded my searching).
I'll probably download it once the final product is out, since they still have editing to do (which hopefully will be completed by October-Novemberish.
Also, I was not even aware SGVNTP released a partial patch? I feel so disappointed in myself.

The one in the erogedownload is the JAST version which is a descent translation and fixed certain bugs in the game because the team that fanstranslated the game admit that there's certainly are bugs in the game. Well you can also find the HD version of this VN in the gamestorrent.co

As far as I know there's only a single patch for this VN. I think its from TLWiki and the patch itself have minutiae like problems. Unless you're eager to play this you have to go through a lot of fixing on this one.
