Okay, time to get off my lazy ass and provide a brief overview. In the VN board, there are 4 different School Days VNs we could be talking of - The original PC version, the port to PS2, the port to I-can't-remember-what, and the re-release for the PC called School Days HQ. None of them have a complete english patch. In fact, the makers of the patch for the original PC version are now working officially to translate School Days HQ for sale in the US (current projections say early 2012 for completion).
School Days is well known for its bad ends, even though it has many more good than bad. Yes, there are endings for all the girls in the picture above. Yes, bot main female leads are yandere. No, you can not get a harem, the closest you can get is having both main female leads pregnant at the same time. No, there is no Nice Boat, that was the anime-only. Death via train is not in the original PC version, but can be found in the PS2 port, and presumably as well in HQ.
Anyways: plot. Second semester of school, Makoto has the hots for girl on train, she has hots for him, matchmaker has hots for him, other girls have hots for him, Makoto wakes up covered in bitches or blood. Your choice. Seriously, there is no plot aside from "Me likey, lets get together and angst and/or have sex". Still, the motion videos are a nice touch, rather than pictures + text all day, erry day.
If you're lucky, I'll put the links up to the translated HQ version when it finally comes out (as already it's had more schedule slip then my Recommendations Thread). Otherwise, no understanding jack about what's going on without knowing how to read moonrunes for you.

Summer Days and Cross Days can both be considered sequels of a sort to School Days, with Summer Days being a spin-off, and Cross Days being told in parallel to School Days. I don't really know that much about either, except for the fact that it's possible to have Makoto get some seriously underage action in Summer Days.

This is the Visual Novel, not the anime. If you want to read the Visual Novel, then you'll have to wait. If you want the anime dubbed, then you're out of luck, there is no dub.

I doubt that I will ever play this game...but I have seen the anime. The anime had me so pissed with the Main character and some of the other characters as well...I have never watched an anime that has made me so pissed as much as School Days.

I'll have to agree with Oni-chan. I've never played the game, but I've seen clips of it and I've watched the series. It's a little bit of everything, and its NOT innocent. Its true though. Everything you see in it has most likely happened before. Life isn't really respected anymore.

lol The anime and the manga only showed the bad endings. Well, renditions of the bad endings. The actual game has a total of 6/7 endings I think. 3 goods, 3 bads, and a harem ending of course I think harem is one of the good endings lol.

I have the School Days visual novel, and I have to say, that this has to be the best visual novel ever made. I like how you can change Makoto from a scumbag fuck to a semi-decent person. I highly recommend the visual novel and the anime, they're both awesome!
If you want to hear something bad about the School Days VN, you'll have to go somewhere else, I can only sing it praise.
My favorite ending is the one where Kotonoha gets pushed in front of the train, My friend and I laughed our asses off, but the laughter quickly changed to us screaming "Why did she have to die?!"
