People here have been saying that they want Dollars to be a real gang. That, however, won't be realized by words alone. To achieve something like that, we need action.

I have an idea that I'll elaborate further four days from now, but I kind of need your thoughts on this first.

If this idea is to be realized, the identity of Dollars up to this point will be entirely changed. This plan will cause an influx of people, the likes of which had not even heard of Durarara, to come in this website with an entirely different goal in mind.

This way, Dollars will truly become an organization. But, it will loose its essence. I don't know if people are fine with that.

Dollars will still have these casual conversations, sure, but these influx of people will be looking for something more fundamental: information. Dollars may turn into an information-network for journalists and politicians. I only have contact with UK and some Philippine and Malaysian politicians but I do have contact with journalists from Mexico and China whose government hinders their job at every turn. Dollars will help these journalists find their voice. It will become an information network that will empower the weak.

Dollars will take a different identity but it will become an organization. I think this is a good way forward.

Yeah definitely its a good idea although you're right that it would dilute the essence of what this is, but it will be able to push the ideals, which is the base of all of this, forwards, but i am still 100% for this.

If you could extend this to a week then I might be able to invite a Hong Kong journo. This might actually be the best way forward.

It's not much, but I serve the Australian Defence Force. I'm not high up in the ranks, but I might be able to help in some way.

I think this is a great way to make the Dollars a proper orginizaton. I totally support you and the ideas that you have.

Shouldn't we spread this website with password included so that more people join first? I support your plan but I think we need more active people.

Minor issue here, we should probably have some sort of explanation for why there are so many people calling this a gang, cause someone might get the wrong idea, and think this is supposed to be a criminal gang, not just a bunch of people who are fans of a show.

I’m a middle school 2nd year and I support this idea. I only came here because I got curious and I wanted a place to escape reality. I don’t want the Dollars to become some kind of criminal gang but just being a regular group of people who come here cuz life is a pain.
Remember, we’re not in Drrr so we shouldn’t think too much about it either.

I feel as though just becoming an information network isn’t enough, but if we combined it with going out and doing certain projects or deeds to help out our community it could work really well. The main problem I see is that once you bring in journalists and politicians, there is a high chance of controversy to occur. Creating tension and potentially a bad image among the organization we’re trying to create. There would have to be moderators who filter information to make sure it fits the guidelines. But some may react to this as restricting the voice of the weak, since not everyone is allowed to spread the information they want. I’m not saying it wouldn’t work but it would have to be well thought out. I do agree with the Dollars becoming some type of organization that helps others.

Though I do support the idea, there are ways to access this website without the password. And once you know the website, with a quick search you can easily find the password.

If the goal is to become an information Network then I think creating a seperate website would be better since this is quite public and information isn't filtered.

I feel like we should make the dollar's a official gang. But a gang that helps the people like cleaning up graffiti, cleaning up trash, and giving to charity.

I feel the same way about the idea as everyone else. But to make the dollars a gang we need to, fix the website so only the people that know the password and are official members to get into the dollars. Also everything I said in #13. we should have a page in the dollars that lets us take pictures of things we have done to help are community from the shadows.

If I somehow change the password before you arrived on the site, will you be able to join Dollars? Nope, exactly. The amount of our members would stagnate, dropping even.

Also for >>13, there's already thread where you can post your mission work iirc. Maybe not a thread specifically to post pictures, but if you cleaned graffiti and you have the picture, post it in the graffiti cleaning thread.

With all due respect, #13 and #14 is the desired purpose of dollars according to drrr anime. Mikado created dollars to form an organization to be of help to community. A colorless organization (no rules and no strings attached), and by bringing journalist or politicians we attach ourselves to them (or associate with them). But with this rule as well, we have different types of people within dollars, some have noble causes and others are of malicious intent as said in #11. Being acknowledge that we exist is a good thing but with all the worries of there might be bad impression of us then maybe we should focus first within the dollars. I am not really an active user but time to time drop by and what I heard is that the admins are already have their hands full beyond what they can handle (server maintenance, improvements, responding to issues, reports etc.).

If we really want to be a proper organization then we must first act as if we are a member representing it. That our action's consequences will reflect on the dollars' reputation. You do not need documents, you do not need world affirmation (though that would be wonderful) but to be a dollars member by heart. One can't dream to be acknowledged to be a proper organization if s/he does not act as a proper member of organization.

In anime, dollars were not introduced by press but rather dollars introduced themselves by actions (word of mouth by the people dollars helped). Dollars was known in the anime for simple noble acts, as this is what they can do as normal citizens. AND not rush against a country controversy which is out of our hand.

bump ! i think this is an outstanding idea. id love to get the news about the dollars more out there ! we have so much potential to do good in the world, and i don't want it to go to waste.

We've tried to do something like this a couple times in the past, I'd like to see it happen. Of course, we'll end up needing to check each other on information to help reduce natural biases, but I'm sure that with how global Dollars has become, there will be plenty of perspectives to draw information from.

its a good idea and all but lets say this becomes an information network for journalists and politicians im afraid things could get hostile because of the millions of different opinions of politicians you cant expect everyone to work together in piece there will always be someone taking things down

btw not trying be too negative i mean this is a really good idea
