Do we use IRC Channel? it looks like it's dead, I visited it a few times, but it is always empty or the majority of dollars use another messenger? I registrated in some chatrooms, but it is still empty with 6 or 10 people
Everyone has a different messenger of preference. The IRC isn't as popular as it used to be with the various social media groups / email lists / chatrooms / etc. popping up.
CTRL+F any major chat service in the archives of Main, Suggestions, and Missions, and you'll find plenty of places to chat. (Annoying, I know. There might be a comp thread listing them in Missions? I really want a board specifically for chat ads, though.)

There's probably between twenty and a couple hundred users browsing at a time, depending on how busy the day is. Most are lurkers that don't use the chats (or regulars with private group chats). Many users you'll find there are chat-only in that they rp / discuss / etc. on other sites but don't necessarily visit or use the bbs.
