They can only close things so fast. Threads slip through. Things stay derpy until the site slows back down again.
We've been there, done that, and imo the site's design is just not made for a large number of users. The concept was cute and all in the show, but after six years of seeing it get abused irl, it's definitely got its limits.
(Also, I love reltair, but keep in mind that we're talking about the admin who hasn't updated our copyright banner since 2015. Not many suggestions are getting approved these days.)
