Suggestion for Automated Emails (14)

This is a thread where I am suggesting an automatic email service to be created here, or at least a similar program linked to this site.
Okay, the basics of the program are as follows in a consumer perspective.
An email is sent from a "OfficialDollars@Mail.com"(Example email address), with the address and password. The receiver will have no idea who sent the email other than the forums itself.

Here is how it works from the producer perspective.
A dollars forums user goes through the forums on the main section to a specific thread called "Automated Emails". In it there is a single link, which asks you what email you would like to send the invitation to. This then records that email so that the invitation would not be sent again to that same email, until it periodically(A year after it was recorded) is deleted, giving the chance for it to be sent again. The email addresses are recorded in a way that it would be difficult to access them normally.

I am no Web Developer nor Designer. This is why I am suggesting this. This may also bring a few more parallels from the anime into the real world, and help bring this site's popularity to a new level. So, what do you think of this? Do you think you will try and do it?

That wouldnt be easy

>>2 Of course. It would effectively be creating a Bot that emails similar to the bots on the chat rooms, but with emails. Though, it is still doable.

If I got an email like that I would find it shady as fudge. Wouldn't even open it, never mind trying to access the link with some password that was given to me. Just saying.

We could manipulate the action behind the person a bit, Manipulating their state of mind. For example, showing them Durarara before having that email sent through that middle man. It mainly would be shady in that form if they had never seen Durarara.

I'm still not a fan of the idea; how would we 'show' them Drrr? An attached video? Bad idea. A link? Bad idea. Telling them to Google search "Durarara"? Eeeh, I dunno about that.

I think it's still better at this point to 'recruit' more people through peer connections. Say I'm in the Dollars, I have a friend who isn't, I send them an invitation "Check out the website, it's awesome, here's the password." If you really care to 'recruit.' Honestly, I prefer people to come across it on their own, it's a lot more interesting that way IMO.

>>6 Not to mention, what exactly from Drrr would we show them, supposing we did? Who has time to sit through a bunch of episodes to catch the gist of what the "Dollars" means/is?

>>7 I actually came was intending for this to be an experience for the person receiving it, meaning a Friend would share the anime with them and then send them the email through that sort of middleman. Sure, one could just create their own fake email, but that would mean that no other people could use that email.

I'm not sold on it like I said, but who knows. Let's see if anyone else has a different opinion.

I am neutral on this, since I feel that people should figure the password out themselves. If you give this email to those who have watched Durarara, they will immediately recognize the site, and most try to search up the password. It's very easy to figure out, and makes things a little more exciting. Atleast it was for me. Just my two cents ^^

I already have one of these WIP for the propagation mission. I'm still testing around with different services to see which one works best, though, as I don't feel like programming it from scratch.

>>13 I'd be willing to do it manually until we find a solution.
Since I basically already do this...as in, going through the email lists and emailing everyone individually.
