I don't really know what to say. This site is cool and all, but I can't ignore all of the hollow sentiment and promises on this site and in the threads. Unless I see some big leap in unity or people actually meeting in person to do something, I can't help but assume that this sight is just for weebs that watch too much Netflix or neckbeards that wanna insult people without any repercussions on the chats. Thoughts?

While I can't argue with your logic shogun I will this.. The site is what you make of it. Its a place for people to express their views, just like the one from the anime. Some people come here because they are nerds, others to insult people. And then there are those who actually believe that they Dollars can be real. All in all, this site allows anyone to be who they want to be and express whatever views they want. That is its purpose. Nothing more, nothing less. Think of it like Facebook but without pics or profiles.

If you want it to be real then make it real. If not then don't. You get to choose who you want to be here. That is what being apart of the Dollars means. Hell, if nothing else just have fun, thats what I do.

and yes i agree with >>3 there are people who come here because they are otaku that think this site is cool, and ppl like yuri, baccano and nzpieface who come here just to mess with people, but there are a LOT of people who actually attempt to do things, i can actually make a list of all the ones i know of who have completed missions and are attempting to rally the more active Dollars together to accomplish things.

how you see the site, the members you choose to talk to, and how long you stay all influence how you see this site

There are some hard differences between us and the actual Durarara Dollars that are hard to overcome - we are spread throughout the world; some of us don't even speak the same language. Unity is hard when we aren't all in one city. However, even in Durarara, for the msot part, the Dollars weren't united and acted on their own and had lots of seperate groups within it. But I also think we shouls unite and really act!

In response to everyone, I appreciate the replies. I understand there are different approaches one can take with this site. I just don't see proof of the activist's activism in the group. I'm mostly here to get things off my chest without judgement and to talk to people of all kinds. And the suggestion, firelily, was implied. More unity. And on top of that, more proof. Thanks.

Just like wrote not that long ago. The change starts with you shogun. Dotachin explained it well. The Dollars are like a community of fish. No leader no direction but if one moves to the left we all move to the left together. So you want the site to be a real thing and to be a Dollar to be amazing, right? well take pride in being a Dollar, be an active member and share it with us. So many people will appreciate it as much as you would now. Try it yourself.

Even if we don't actually do anything, we still do something.

A lot of the missions are probably never completed, I'll agree with that, but even so the mindset is there and it does seem to influence people. Plus those that do actively help others are likely to then inspire more to follow suit. Even if that's a small number of people, it's still more than 0.

Okay I'm glad that you've gone and tried to make a group dedicated to action. I really am BUT we need to unify. We have 6 different dollars sites on the web, not including the ones I don't know about. We have about 14,000 members, imagine if we combined all the sites. How our numbers would grow. I have actually dedicated time to meeting members in real life, we've discussed ideas and what need to be done for progress. One step would include making members aware of the map. Have them meet their local members. Let it move from a virtual world to a physical one. With members along side people will be more compelled to complete missions, share memories with them. Take pictures, your instigation will be the motivation for others to go forth and do the same.

I totally agree. What's the point of this site if all we're going to do is sit on our asses all day? Wasn't the whole point of the dollars to make a change?
