So I've been thinking on about how we're supposed to recognize a Dollars' member. Let's face it, we can't really do anything, like actual missions, if we don't know when a Dollars' member is with us.


I was thinking about have a certain Mask or masks with the same style (like the purge masks or something)

We could also use a certain sign or symbol that shows that we're dollars.

You guys may put out suggestions and stuff.

How about a small The Dollars sticker (or a dollar sign) on the back of your phone. Seeing as we would look at our phone most of the time seeing this website.

That's why we have the map. And people are urged to put some form of contact info. And because of this process not only have I been able to communicate with the members within my area but as well meet them. I would like to suggest that we remain anonymous. But at least take the time to if not listen to me, come to the conclusion yourself. Ask yourself what could happen if our name got out? Best and worst case scenarios.

Not having a logo or sign is kind of a good thing because if everyone that was in the dollars had the same sign then it would give away whose in the dollars. And we aren't doing anything bad so why not tell people who we are, and what good charity things we've done. But on the other hand if word got out that were a 'gang' and other gangs found out they would probably try to figure out whose in the dollars.

------ I personally think that it would be a good idea to have a sign or logo but it has to be something that isn't seen in the open, something that would take a bit to find out where it is or what exactly is it, something that most people wouldn't care for if it was there or not like an ankle bracelet or a regular braclet that have the same look but also unique, or maybe a certain type of belt, it would probably be best if it was something you would normally wear but with the logo or sign on it

Cuz multiple reasons. One if we are on one side of the spectrum, wouldnt it be reasonable to think there could be something or someone on the opposite side of the spectrum? We are good, so there must be bad. Don't be ignorant, play it safe and stay under the radar.

Ok so I understand where you're are coming so why not something small and discreet like a gray thread or rag wrapped in a bracelet or something it can be anywhere but you can customize it like put your own symbol or something but its still there so yeah just my two salts for what its worth

I see no issue with that. It sounds cool.

Well technically we have no rules. So you can't do what you want. I just suggest that people hear me out and try and stay anonymous. We are in the business of doing good. And if we wanted fame for all the good we do, well then we are doing it for all the wrong reasons. And check the missions tab, I gave more info relating as to why we should stay anonymous.

You can't do what you want. If we didn't have rules we'd have no need for mods who delete misplaced topics, and we'd have no need for Reltair who actually ends up banning people if the need arises.

However i understand your concern of being doubtful of this system since there is no assurance of cooperation between members but during a mission you can always use cues for operatives or participants example at 12pm we gather at the fountain in the park and throw a coin in the fountain at exactly 12:05pm, now you can proceed to give further instructions at this point.

We obviously can't have anything that stands out too much like a symbol because people will start to notice who we are and will automatically link it to gangs or something. But we also can't have something too subtle because it can be commonly used by other people who are not even members. It would be nice, though, to signal other members and let them know we are on the same side. It just takes some thought. I've heard a lot of good suggestions as this has been a big subject here for a long time, for example, writing a "D" on one of your hands or the wave/salute with your left hand in the shape of a gun. The letter on the hand was good and interesting, but people would start asking questions like, "WHy is that on your hand?" or "WHat does that stand for?". I'm sure it would be easy to give an excuse, but then it would already have attention drawn to it. ANd as for the salute; it is great how subtle it is but it's almost too subtle and too casual. Anyone can do it. Plus, it is virtually impossible to execute it properly. LIke, how would you use it to signal another Dollar unless you already knew them as one? The idea of the signal is to identify each other right?
Of course the easiest way to go with any of this is to do absolutely nothing at all. But this website is not enough to rely on, so in a way we need this signal.

I'm in favor of a dollar symbol on your phone. I know y'all are worried about people recognizing we're a gang, but there will rarely be enough of us in one place to raise suspicion.

That also brings up the issue of geographical location. I posted a thread on this awhile back in this section called "indevidual city dollars", please check it out and try to bump it if you like the idea.

Is there a annual meet up of this site like at comicons or some other conventions? that'd be cool as hell

We use the map. Its been urged that members put themselves down on the map with some form of generic contact info. Please be safe out there and dont put close to actual address. If you plan to meet with members in your area, meet in public places, during the day, and with a fellow known member thats a friend (if possible) or friend (if the previous was not possible). And i usually put down a email for people to contact me. So id suggest the same.

Well, if we are colorless, doesn't that make us transparent? If so, we could use a transparent wrist band with a dollar sign or something like that, right?

Or maybe even white, if they don't make transparent wristbands.

Okay, so I also think that if we do this, we should have our Dollars name printed on the inside of the wristband.
Example:
Outside:Changing the world, one mission at a time(or something like that)
Inside:Hekeriki of The Dollars

How about a pin or a patch with the dollars logo

I am liking a mask idea and the thought of a pin or something to put on? Or a T-shirt with a very specific Dollars logo on it

Why dont make a pin, rest band or for example a simple keychain whit this logo?
