Alright my dollar brother and sister we need to make a new functional dollars. Website or a huge update. This website Just seems like a social network posting stuff on how we can help the world. (Forgive me for my spelling and grammar if I make mistakes). Listen, Every person who logs in is part of an organization of peace. But so far I don't see nothing but people (like myself lol) posting stuff that doesn't really matter to helping the world, only hey guys lets do this and that, or join this and that. We need to be better organized with the way we do things. I think the best way that for us to be organized is by making a chain of commands. If you ever had a job that involves a company or the military then you know what the chain of command is. So that's one, another way is to help the website. Make it have actual logins. We literally can be anybody. Make it so we add our. Email, phoned numbers, and country/state/city. This for we can know who close by and how we can contact them separately. And I know I said this should not be a social network type website, but make the website have a Facebook style. I say this because in NJROTC we actually Facebook for almost everything. Cause we can invite them into events and make specific pages. I have more but my ideas are too long and gonna be typing all day. Yeah if anyone is website designer, please try to make this happen

I agree! But I think this site helps people, not in a large scale, but in their small little universes. And this is REALLY important.
I think we have to start small. If you put something big all together it may end up in a mess. We have each other's backs and this is incredible. Of course there are stupid people, but there's stupid people everywhere.

This site is perfect. There is no ruler, we all control it, it's not over one's head only!

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I guess we can use this and keep trying to do it, in a positive way for everyone! Even if it's only one life, it means a world!

>this site helps people, not in a large scale, but in their small little universes. And this is REALLY important.

This is a 10/10 summary of why all of these 'we should go bigger!' posts are not terribly valid. We don't need to, we shouldn't because other people already have and they're doing their part. If you want a giant organization that helps all kinds of people in an organized manner, volunteer at a soup kitchen or a thrift store. We have our purpose and we serve it well. No need for change here.

What I hate is these newbies trying to force their agendas or fandom on us thinking this site and the members should bend to whatever they want.

The Dollars is not a group out to save the world. The Dollars is just a group. We meet online. That is the only thing we have in common. We are all equal, there is no chain of command except for the admin, who only manages the site. This will not change, ever.
If you want something more Facebook-esque go create your own Facebook page. I agree that this site could be better organised but that will happen in due time. Hopefully the email notification thing from down below will come to pass but personal information should not be released. I actually like how anonymous this all is, a bit like 4chan. It's very unique and much like the Dollars.
Also big events or something are unlikely - remember the Dollars are called "Dollars" not because of American dollars but because they "ダラダラする" ie. they laze about. Small missions are perfect, and no one should be forced into anything, it should all be voluntary.
Sorry for the rant.

The world's chaos is necessary, even if you don't want it into your head you absolutely have no choice. But you can choose the way you deal with it, and how you overcome it.

Sometimes people think there are much more to do, but they don't even do the basics in their own lives.

Let's start keeping an eye in what surround us. THIS is the real revolution. Going all noisy alerts the ones we're trying to protect ourselves from. If we keep quiet but do our best to improve whatever we can we'll change everything and they won't even notice when it started.

You guys are right I just wanted to make this site better and more functional. But you know what I shouldn't fix something that isn't broken.

This site is based off of the anime, and it is exactly how it is supposed to be! We aren't here fore the soal purpose of making the world better, and by definition, yes we are an online gang! but we are also a community, we do try to help out the world, which isn't a bad thing, and we also get to know each other, and not all of the meaning of The Dollars can be put into words, but if you are here, you should know this, maybe try reading the about page?
>>1 anyways, this website is perfectly functional! We don't need to make a new one!AND we were called that ( The Dollars) because we USED to slack off, so the Dollars was made to actually do something ie help out the world! EVERYTHING IS PERFECTLY ORGANIZED, WE AREN'T HERE JUST TO COMPLETE MISSIONS AND TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE, THOUGH THOSE ARE SOME MAIN THINGS THAT WE DO! IF YOU DON'T LIKE ANYTHING THAT THE DOLLARS STAND FOR THEN YOU CAN LEAVE.

I would like profiles and passwords
Because it gives a sence that we are connected to this community
Of people.
And that way if I want to not have a random person comment with my name they cant.
It connects us not with a chain but with a sence of gang/family love

>>9 your name wont get stolen if you use a tripcode like me. If you don't know what a tripcode is then look it up. The site is perfect how it is and is actually based off of the anime.>>11, same to you about the tripcodes, how would we have passwords if there was no profile anyways? (ps: im against the profiles too.)

i mean we already use our names when we reply, won't it just be easier to have accounts?

Nope. It's more about it's a lot of pointless work for Reltair, when we have it good how it is.

I have to agree with Thiamor and Chief Sandy on some points. Yes this site has turn into a social networking site. But them again. This site is very functional. I believe its not so much the site but the members. We need to take babysteps. I had a plan on how to do so but I haven't told many people. We are so accustomed to simply messaging each other through the site or some manner without physically being there. We need to slowly pull members away from the computer and into socially meeting fellow members in their cities. Doing it too fast would result in a opposite response. Technology has become a comfort zone. We must slowly move out of that comfort zone to see any progress. And believe me we would see much more activity if we had a fellow member to do missions with. I also find we should remain anonymous but for any that don't want to, go ahead. Its up to you, remember there's no rules. The first step to getting members out of these comfort zones is to first have people show themselves on the map. Secondly share some sort of personal information like an email or phone number to contact them with. Slowly the things we use to contact people we physically know is now being used on people we have yet to meet. Making the zone slowly move away from the computer, to out the door and outside. Please be respectful in responses. There's much.more but I have work in a bit.

I've worked with Sigiled Hawk on his ideas and I've had my run ins with him both good and bad through thick and thin, although we don't always agree on a lot of topics I trust Sigiled Hawks opinions and hold them to a high regard. He means to do an extraordinary deal of good in an extremely selfless act of pure benevolence. In that, i feel entitled to support his views on this, and to be completely honest, i have no note-worthy opinions on my own regarding this topic, however i will show my support for those i believe are more-so in the green than others.

In no way am i saying anyone is wrong, but for the sake of collaboration and brainstorming, word of mouth is everything. Let me cash in my credentials on this one.

A chain of command is not necessary, even though we are not like it, it's still based off of the anime. The only chain of command is us as Dollar members and 1 leader, we do not choose the leader because no one knows who the leader is. We are organized and we do change the world, even if it's small and minor things, we are making the world a better place one step at a time. Making it like Facebook isn't our Dollars site, it's Facebook..

This is actually a good point. I feel like The Dollars has turned into a fan-website if anything else. It's defeating the whole purpose of the Dollars. This wasn't created to find ways to make flyers to get the Dollars recognized for nothing. There are thousands of Dollar Members, so why not do something?

We do know who the owner is and in essence is the leader since he has the final say. Reltair.

Durarara actually kind of touches upon this. Dollars' site is a place where we can keep our anonymity and connect with others leisurely. But it is also a place where interaction can manifest to physical action. Quite frankly, although it's a great idea to have profiles or logins, I don't think that is the purpose of this site. None the less, I think being able to CHOOSE to create a login would have benefits when reaching out to each other. Since I also think some dollars would feel insecure giving out all this information about themselves on a website having the option of not creating a login would be nice as well. And I wonder if the admins would have some sort of protocols or laws they would have to follow since it would make the site filled with dollars' personal information.

What I would like to rally for is email notifications on threads we want to keep updated with( like a checkbox you can check). Ex. I'm from Massachusetts so it would be nice to get an email alert that someone posted on the Massachusetts dollar forum. It would make connecting faster and make the forums more livelier. Also serves as a reminder of sorts to check the homebase. So I suppose a username, password, and email would be required to make that happen. But I don't want to loose the fact that you don't need any of that to post on the dollars website. So it would just make a nice Addition. I hope I'm making sense.

The reason why I won't rally for a place to put our location such as profile, is because I think that it becomes a safety issue. Also, if we get instant email notifications then for example: if someone posted on a thread that they were currently at a certain location and was wondering if someone could help them in that moment. Then I could look at my instant email notification and reply for example that I am right around the corner on so and so street. How may I help you. In that way, you only give your location as needed. You are still putting out your location but its a little less out there. If that makes sense. Also I say email over text message because that would require a cellphone number and you are putting yourself out there a little more like less anonymity. Anyways,
