I know this is only small but i was thinking maybe we should add a bit more colours to the design of the site,when i first jonied the dollars i thought it was one of those boring sites where nobody really does anything (that is not true,we do a lot here) si was wondering maybe put a bit more colour even giving admins and mods coloured names would help so its easier to ask for help. :side note: maybe we could add a notifdacation system so its easier to see when someone has replied to your post?

I like this color scheme. I think many others feel the same way. Plus, it's trying to look as much like in the show as possible, and this was what it looked like there.

about the Color
We've had this Color scheme for a while. I like it.
"Admins and Mods"
We only have one admin. His name is Reltair. We dont know who the Mods are. Giving them Color would destroy the mystery :( or just have random people run up to them asking them questions when in reality theyre here to keep the site clean and troll free. (as I understand it)
"notifications"
In order to be able to receive notifications we would have to have accounts..then we would be like the other dollar sites..And it wouldnt be anonymous anymore. I like the idea of being aware when someone replies to you but it isnt really worth it.

The notification to a post of yours WHILE on the thread's page is possible with a little JS, but not while being anywhere else.

Can't say I'm for mod colors.

I personally am as well. If you stay around a while, it becomes clear pretty quickly who does and doesn't know what they're talking about. Using colors to convey that superiority would not only put those mods at greater risk of hassle but also go against what even the most haughty of us have said from the beginning: everyone is technically of equal status here (aside from Reltair because Reltair).

I agree with Shiro's idea. Adding a (little) colour would add depth to the webpage. Dollars is a colourless gang, but the website does need a heightened sense of depth. This'll make it more user friendly.

I also like a notification system, that would be totally cool! And if we could like/comment on replies and comments some else has posted, that would also be awesome!

Yeah let's put more color to this site. I understand that black is a really cool color but I think having many colors as a background is likely to make your mood run high compared to the situation where there is only one color.

I like rainbows, but not for a site that's designed like this one. Redman001 isn't wrong when he says that we are anonymous, and the site design and colors reflect that idea of anonymity.

Picking colors kind of goes against the "colorless" aspect of the dollars. I do like your idea for notifications though (although I am finding it hard to have it not linked to email or something others can snoop in on- unless the site takes care of it)

There's others who are admin. Mod=admin. That is how most people see it. A mod is just a low ranking admin.

The mods are just secret. With this being an anonymous posting BBS, it's very easy to hide if you're a mod or not.

Just letting you know I never liked this suggestion. We don't need colors for names, the site, etc. I fortunately like this simple style.

The simplistic style makes it kinda magical, you know? I mean black is when ALL the colors are reflected and white is when ALL are absorbed. I agree that the desighn made me cautious of the site when I first joined four years ago, but I love how it has stayed the same. It gives the right feel for the group now and if we added more color it just wouldn't be right, people would treat this site more like a joke than they do now.

Dollars are neutral. It isn't supposed to be a marketing thing. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this the way it is.
Represents our lack of identity, face, gender, race. And we are all equal here.

we are not to be a publicly known gang. we stay hidden. we don't want to be branded in any form or fashion

every day I see more and more people here that are all about popularity and making the Dollars famous.. the point is that we find joy in what we do,to have our own piece of mind knowing that we may brought a simple smile on someone's face today,because we might be the only one to show them a little kindness :)

That would be cool, but at the same type, the site would kind of loose it's authenticity... This site is nice because it stays so true to the original Dollars site and goal, even with it's own twist.

There's always the Dollars main neckalce sold in alot of online shops with the logo. However for now, I was thinking we could do something along the lines of those gangs in Drrr where they have the yellow bandanas and hats. Maybe if someone can't get the Dollars logo necklace, then maybe wear a singular color around the wrist or finger?

If we were to change it that much lots of members would feel that it isn't the actual Dollars. The "feels" would be lost in a sense.

Though it should be possible to add little, subtle, minor changes or services that can help improve the experience.

After thinking it over, I now believe that my idea of the necklaces aren't that good of an idea. Afterall, the dollars are colorless and also suiting that we shouldn't have any sort of symbol, even if it's the logo itself and agreeing with Laija-san
