BB Code (8)

Anyone who regularly visits forums should know what this is. Simply put its a much more simplified version of HTML code designed for sites like this. It makes it much easier/noob friendly to hyperlink, bold/italic text, etc. Some commands would be

Bold: [b][/b]
Italic: [i][/i]
Underline: [u][/u]
URL Link: [url=www.google.com]Google[/url]

I don't know why it hasn't already been implemented. It makes it much easier than the current HTML setup we've got going on atm and it's been the standard in most forums/bbs's for a while now.

BB code is similar to html.

Bold:
Italic:
Underline:
Link: Link Name

HTML is implemented. You can find a list of usable codes here.

Apparently I can't show you the codes. Oh well, go to that link to find out what they are then.

BBCode: uses brackets

HTML: uses

Those are the only differences, besides the other difference for huperlink for both codes. But that's only just a small amount of typing, who really cares.

apparently I can't show you the arrows that HTML uses. But you get what I'm saying.

BBCode is brackets, HTML is arrows.

It's only links I have a problem with. BB code makes hyperlinking much quicker than the HTML alternative.

>>7 It's not really any different. Instead of saying "url" you're saying "a href" and instead of saying "/url", you're saying "/a". Then you just have to put "" around the URL. It's not that different.
