I think litterature should be under "Art" and that "Art" should be broken down into; "Others' Art Works," "Personal Art Works," "Others' Writting," and "Your Writting." Writting is a beautiful art.

Music should also be considered "Art," but eh, all in all, "Art" should probably be changed to "Pictures" or something similar...

Most American English class should be under the Art curriculum, we're studying works of literature and such, but is it? No.

My Art class is about drawings, but do you see us studying Music or literature? No.

This is an English site, made by an American guy, most of us are American. So, what Sleep said, no.

Adding onto it, Animation is an art, lots of TV shows are a type of artform. Comics too. Games are a form of art. Film is a type of art. You can make art out of food. Shit, everything is artistic. But should they be all under Art? No.

And Pictures as a board name sounds dumb.

A category called "Art" is used for drawings and such just to be more specific. It's also convenient to get to what you actually want.

The Art board is generally accepted as the visual art board. When something crosses the line between the Art board and another board, it can honestly go in either - although, things like writing tend to gravitate towards the Literature board. As for Animations, it depends on the context - if it's just sharing user-created content, then it tends to go on the art board to be shared. If it's discussing animation as a whole, or a specific animation title (cartoon, anime, etc.) then it tends to go on the Animation board.

The long and short of it is that the Art board is for sharing visual art, or discussing art and art forms. Music, as an art, has its own board, and writing, as an art, has its own board. It's just semantics, really. The word "art" can be expanded to mean so much that I'd rather just keep it narrow for simplicity's sake.
