Roleplays are posted in often, as well as their metaboard. We currently have 3 RPs and 2 Metaboards in the Literature Board right now, and are going to have 4 and 3 soon (thakns to me). This creates an issue because those are being bumped to the top more often than the threads discussing books, poetry, writing, etc. So, I was thinking that there should be a Role-Play board to move the RPs to, so that the amazing threads on the Lit Board will be able to be at the top and be seen.

However, I won't get upset if you don't like my idea. I just wanted to see if any people that live on the Lit Board get tired of the RPs that are taking over there home.

Well any time soon, it won't be active enough. But it could be, perhaps, if there was a board dedicated to it. Maybe.

By active, I mean different RPs going on. Not 1 or 2, or 3 active ones. Because in the end, that is still 2 or 3 topics, which doesn't necessarily mean it needs it's own board. Now, on the other hand, if we had a board specifically for Role Playing, that alone may get others to make differing Role Playing topics.

But I'm guessing the only way to know, is to try it out, because it may just be the fact they don't want to spam Literature with everything regarding role playing.

One other suggestion to this suggestion, is that it be a sub-board under the Literature board. Just like how Random has Test, and games have "Visual Novels".

To be honest, I like the idea of a Roleplaying sub-board under Lit. It probably won't have that many threads on it, but it will help save Lit from being spammed. It wasn't a problem back when Hekatonheires was the only roleplay. Now that more and more people are making RP's, though, it's just too much for the board. The actual book and writing discussions are bumped away.

Then again, Lit was never that active outside of RP's. There are a few threads that get bumped up a lot, but past those, Lit wasn't the most active board. I still think that there should be a separate place for them, though.

I was just adding what I was told by Reltair a bit ago. That he plans to add the ability in, and that would make having new boards a lot easier, so that they won't have to be remade, if a topic is good and would fit in the specific board.

I don't get why people bring up "threads getting bumped away" as a problem and shit whenever we talk about new boards. That's why there's a View All Threads button. Who gives a shit if something is bumped constantly. You're just reinforcing the dumbness that is, no one using the View All Threads button if we just make a new board for something, is my take on it.

What she means, more-so, is the fact that the majority of the board is being taken over by Role Playing now, and because of that, a sub board may actually be useful. The bumping was just to help further explain it, I think.

Written roleplaying IS literature. My problem is with the same kind of thing being continuously bumped up. That would be like every charity thread on Missions being continuously bumped up above the other threads when the other threads deserve just as much attention.

There are plenty RP discussions to fill a RP Board. I just won't make them because I will feel like I'm spamming the Lit board with RP stuff, and it's takign over.

RP board would also take away the activity on Literature for the most part and that's not something that I'd like to see. Whether it's a sub-board or main board, I don't think it's that good of an idea.

Though I can't say that's entirely true since we only have 2 other sub-boards other than the ones under Main.
